If McCain wins in a landslide (man I hope Zogby is right), how would that affect the Congressional races?
I can’t imagine it hurting our position on those races. Some people who don’t care for the top of their ticket stay home. If some leftists do, that would help.
I honestly don’t know how to gauge what the overall impact would be. I’d imagine folks that crossed over to vote McCain, would still vote for their favorite lefty in their home district. Still, who knows...

Not nearly as much as it COULD HAVE. The RINO’S who still run the party failed to even RUN candidates in many competitive and even RED districts this election cycle.
They figured there was no way they could run against the powerhouse and beloved Nancy Pelosi and Harry Reid and their 9% approval ratiing. RINO’S are worse than democrats. RINO’S need to be herded and put out to pasture November 5th.
I’ve seen evidence of the House and Senate races becoming much more competitive. The Senate races in CO and NC were almost being written off. Now Dole is ahead in NC and the Colorado race is within 2 points acording to Rasmsn. I’d prefer the congressional races continue to fly beneath the national radar — less chance of MoveOn, etc dumping money and lies in those districts. I think we can reasonably say that the heavy Republican losses that were predicted in June and July won’t materialize.
