A grainy YouTube video surfaced Wednesday showing Sarah Palin being blessed in her hometown church three years ago by a Kenyan pastor who prayed for protection from "witchcraft" as she prepared to seek higher office.
The video shows Palin standing before Bishop Thomas Muthee in the pulpit of the Wasilla Assembly of God church, holding her hands open as he asked Jesus Christ to keep her safe from "every form of witchcraft."
"Come on, talk to God about this woman. We declare, save her from Satan," Muthee said as two attendants placed their hands on Palin's shoulders. "Make her way my God. Bring finances her way even for the campaign in the name of Jesus. ... Use her to turn this nation the other way around."

It really is a thinly disguised attack on Christianity.
Our Presbyterian PCA does this....the pastor & elders (as the picture shows) place their hands on the shoulders of the person being prayed for and Pray....they pray!....that's it!
It's not strange or unusual.
My husband is an elder and has done this many times in his 15 years in the PCA church and it's always appreciated by the person receiving it.
The Dems/liberals are crazed over Governor Palin.....I've never seen such a level of hatred & mean spiritness.
Empirically, there is no question she got it. Even as the demons shriek all around her, she is protected and elevated.
Seems to me the prayer worked. It’s an indication of how far we’ve be dragged to the edge of the pit that prayers are seen as a possible negative.
If only AP had investigated Obama’s backgroup in the past three years as much and as thoroughly as they have done in Palin’s case in the past three weeks!
This getting close to my prediction that the rumor-mongering would eventually get around to saying that Palin was a high priestess of a satanic cult that sacrificed babies on the solstice.
Odd that it was a Kenyan (obama) pastor, isn’t it?
Maybe those little old country pastors know more than they’re given credit for.
Witchcraft can’t attack her....good.
Or should she have been rude to a Kenyan pastor and not let him pray for her? That would be elitist, wouldn’t it?
But, I’ve seen these liberal candidates go into “rock n roll” churches and suddenly act like they’ve been doing gospel rhythm their entire lives. That’s obviously phony.
One thing about Palin. She’s real because she’s actually been there. She isn’t declared “real” for a media campaign as she shows up someplace she’s never been before.
I thought Kenyan stuff was all good this election cycle. Or is it just muslim Kenyans?
To be fair, Sarah was just preparing for the possibility that she’d have to run against Hillary Clinton someday.
Prairiebreeze nailed it.
Why do you think Rush calls them the ‘drive-by media’? They use their verbal grease guns on anyone who opposes their side and drive off.
crowd: Oooh
Bedevere: Exactly!!....Who are you who are so wise in the ways of science???
LOL!
Any Lutheran who has had to memorize the Ten Commandments (see #2) and their meanings from Luther’s Small Catechism is not going to have a problem with this.
Nothing wrong with that. Witchcraft is still widely practiced in many areas of Africa. Christian missionaries sometimes encounter witches who are obviously possessed by a spiritual entity of some kind, and it's not a angel of God. Of course the leftists who worship Gaia if they have any belief in the supernatural at all would ridicule Mrs Palin for allowing an African Christian who probably knows a lot about witchcraft to bless her for the work that lay before her at that time.
I just hope his prayer is answered because the non-spiritual political witches who are at the heart of the Democrat party are sharpening their knives every morning as they go out to find dirt on the lady they hate because she threatens their plans to further de-Christianize America.
If the blessing was performed on a Democrat by a Buddhist monk, Muslim Imam, tribal witchdoctor, New Age healer, or secular lesbian codepink communist feeling particularly “spiritual” that day, the MSM would report the act as a celebration of diversity and oneness with Gaea earth mother. At least in the big left-wing papers. They would not report it in “flyover country”, but I digress.
The truth is that most Americans believe in the supernatural. This could help Sarah more than hurt her.
The blessing from a prayer work for me.
PS. 1: Why do the heathens rage and the people imagina a vain thing against the Lord and against his annointed, saying, we will cast their bands assunder.
If it’s a choice of “being saved from Satan” or “GOD DAMN AMERICA!”, I’ll take “being saved from Satan” everytime.
Meanwhile, her counterpart can’t even properly take Communion in his own church.
