McCain hits Biden in Ohio today:
I am going to put in place the priorities and policies that will create jobs in Ohio. One important way that we are going to create jobs here is with the development of additional nuclear plants and through investments in clean coal technology.
Not only will investment in our energy infrastructure create millions of new jobs across the country, it will help lead our nation toward the important goal of energy independence. My opponent is against the expansion of nuclear power. His running mate here in Ohio recently said that they werent supporting clean coal either. And the fact is that their billions of dollars in higher taxes would kill jobs here in Ohio. Thats not what Ohio needs and thats not what America needs.
That is what Biden said, apparently reflecting his primary position, despite having taken Obama's pro-clean coal position just days earlier.
Biden spokesman David Wade called McCain's statement "yet another false attack from a dishonorable campaign," though the real error here seems to have been Biden's.
He continued: "Senator McCain knows that Senator Obama and Senator Biden support clean coal technology. Senator Bidens point is that China is building coal plants with outdated technology every day, and the United States needs to lead by developing clean coal technologies."
On the nuclear front, McCain seems to have softened his charge that Obama opposes nuclear power. Obama has said he'd consider nuclear power, but isn't as supportive of it as McCain, and opposes the Yucca Mountain waste site.
John McCain advances the ball a bit, on this it will come down to what are you going to believe, your lying eyes or their words?
“yet another false attack from a dishonorable campaign”
Keep using that line idiots.
Give them Hell, MAC!!!!! Go,Go,Go!!!!
Gee, I wonder why they always use the term “dishonorable”?
As the old saying goes, they wouldn’t know what “honor” was if it bit them in the *ss.
SCORE!
I think Rush might have something here about Obomber ejecting Biden before the elections. Hell he might even leave before the VP Debate if Rush is right.
Biden is a boob for sure...and it's always great when you can have three against "The One"....tee hee hee hee.....
Obama has said he'd consider nuclear power, but isn't as supportive of it as McCain, and opposes the Yucca Mountain waste site.Bzzzzt! Cognitive dissonance alert.
By opposing Yucca Mountain as a waste site, you're giving the environmentalcases precisely the tool that they need to prevent further nuclear power development throughout the country.
U.S. Rep. Rick Boucher, D-9th, sought to get one message across about Obama: Senator Obamas a friend of coal.
Bisen Ralley in Castlewood Va..... coal country
He was for it before he was agin it..... about 48 hours or so
Good..hit them hard.
This is a game changer quote. Play it over and over....
We could take Pennsylvania if McCain would run an ad regarding the “bitter people clinging to guns and Bibles” and the anti coal remarks. Pennsylvanians need to know that Obama is NOT for them.
I trust that like his mentor, Jimmy Carter, Obambi doesn't believe in recycling spent nuclear fuel either. No Yucca, and no recycling. So what does he propose that we do with the spent fuel?
Simply not true -- in fact the opposite of the truth.
China is building advanced ultra-supercritical coal fired units that are not only highly efficient but which include all of the state-of-the-art pollution control equipment. Fact is, China is investing billions in the most advanced coal fired plants in the world while we allow idiots like Obama and Biden who couldn't figure out how to boil water make energy decisions.
At this point in time, China is the world leader in clean coal technology.
We can't Expand Nuclear power wihout Yucca Mountain.
Where are we going store the Nuclear waste, O-messiah?
Under the bleachers at the University of Chicago football stadium?
- Joe Biden
- Joe Biden
If that had been one of the republicans, that would be on 24 hr loop on CNN, NBC etc for the next 42 days. Thank God for the internet, youtube and the ability for us to help distribute the real news.
Hit 'em with both barrels John. Beautiful! And Obama's considering nuclear power, but is opposed to Yucca Mountain. So where do you plan on putting the spent fuel, Barry? Sheesh. What a weasel.
