Uncharacteristically low turnout for Barack Obama rally in Green Bay, Wisc.

McCain/Palin drew 4,000 more supporters at same venue a week ago

September 22, 2008

BY ABDON M. PALLASCH Staff Reporter

GREEN BAY, Wis. — Hoping to shore up support in his suddenly undependable backyard, Democratic presidential nominee Barack Obama flew here Monday to talk about how he’d handle economic crises as president.

Recent polls have shown that Wisconsin — once pretty solidly in Obama’s column — is now a statistical dead heat between Obama and Republican John McCain.

“You all know that you hold this election in your hands,” Sen. Russ Feingold, a Democrat who said he worked on ethics legislation with Obama, told a crowd of about 6,000 cheering Obama fans in the arena next to Lambeau Field. “We just barely won this state for Al Gore in 2000 and we just barely won this state for John Kerry in 2004.”

The numbers in Wisconsin and Minnesota are getting close enough that the Obama campaign closed its 11 campaign offices in North Dakota and moved the 50 staffers there to these two states.

Just a week ago, John McCain and his vice-presidential nominee Sarah Palin — who can bring out crowds the way Obama can — appeared in this same stadium, Resch Center, to a crowd of 10,000 fans. There were an uncharacteristic amount of empty orange seats for Obama’s rally.

Obama will win Wisconsin.

The electorate is split almost completely 50-50.

We have open registration and NO VOTER ID!

The Wisconsin election will be fraught with fraud. Obama will win here because of it.

The only way he loses Wisconsin is if McCain/Palin voters turn out in such great numbers that we overwhelm the fraud vote. I just don’t think we have enough people to do it.

The polls are so overweighted with dems that it is clear that McCain is still at full strength while the O-dummy is sinking.

The pollsters love a horse race so they adjust accordingly.

If McCain/Palin could somehow swing California to our side, Obama's campaign would hit the ground like turkeys dropped from a helicopter.

“Or maybe, they just under sample Republicans because we all went to see Sarah at the rally.”

I love it. They don’t catch many Republicans on Sunday morning either.

Take away Obama’s telepropter and McCain will make Obama look weak and young.

There is no way he does not get the questions beforehand, with the MSM's bias.

His answers will be scripted and memorized.

“Even with the national polls showing fauxbama gaining support in his number of votes, when you look at the internals you see he’s lost support across every demographic group, including DEMOCRATS... yet somehow he’s gaining in the polls? “’

I noticed that, too. Have we counted his growing support among the French poodles, the dead and Ripple drinkers?

Without a tele-prompter and someone else's words, ZEROBAMA is mincemeat!!

And when Sarah Palin drew a crowd of 60,000 in Florida this weekend, not a peep from NPR about the number of people in attendence.

They're still shaking in their Birkenstocks!

I know what you mean. Hopefully, we won’t have to ruin our nails this year when McCain/Palin win handily. The looks on all the MSM’s faces will be worth staying up to see, however long it takes for them to hear the words, President-elect John McCain and Vice-President-elect Sarah Palin. That has a good ring to it.

I noticed that as well. It occurs to me that the press is trying to prop up a failing campaign.

Is it just me, or does it seem like there are a lot of polls recently which suggest Obama is rebounding, yet the anecdotal and other evidences “on the ground” suggest just the opposite?

It isn't just you. The polls and media are trying to discourage McCain/Palin voters, and encourage Obama voters. The differences in crowds being attracted by each campaign is a clear indicator that Obama is sinking like a rock.

here in the Philly burbs the local democrat committeeman does NOT have a sign on his lawn

And
WIP Sports talk radio has an afternoon radio host with a huge audience
He did NOTHING but dump on the GOP and Bush for8 years and was a real Clinton fan even met them several times

He is pushing McCain

Lot of Hillary types HATE Obama for playing the race card against Bubba and Bubbess ( and rightly so )

Can you two FReepers explain this a bit more to me. For instance, what the trend is doing that makes the national polls different from the internal polls? Thanks.

Here's one example: The recent poll in NC discussed here: http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/2087406/posts

That NC poll had a bum sample with 49% Dem, 35% GOP. They give Dems a 14% advantage, and Obama can still only pull a 46% tie.

This means that, in reality:

McCain/Palin are leading in NC with a 60% to Obama's 32%, and

The media is push-polling like they have never had to do in any previous election to fabricate results.

They are super-busy trying to manufacture voter fraud to make any of their trash appear realistic, including their candidate.

So who is the brilliant scheduler who plans this event to occur barely 12 hours after the Green Bay Packers get whacked by the Dallas Cowboys?

I dunno. Are there any Obama staffers that look like karl Rove with a big fake looking mustache?
