A week after a high-profile send-up of Republican vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin on "Saturday Night Live," the NBC comedy show returned to making fun of the Alaskan governor in a skit where New York Times reporters sought to probe the possibility Palin's husband was having sex with the couple's own daughters.
"What about the husband?" asked a Times reporter during a mock assignment meeting for the paper. "You know he's doing those daughters. I mean, come on. It's Alaska."
The assignment editor for the Times, portrayed by actor James Franco, responded: "He very well could be. Admittedly, there is no evidence of that, but on the other hand, there is no convincing evidence to the contrary. And these are just some of the lingering questions about Governor Palin."
The skit featured a photo of one reporter and an on-screen message that stated, "In 2009 [reporter] Howland Gwathmey Moss, V was awarded the Pulitzer Prize for his Times series on unproven, yet un-disproven incest in the Palin family. Sadly, he was to die 3 months later, run over by a snow machine, driven by a polar bear."
The final shot showed an image of a New York Times page, with headlines that included:
"While No Direct Evidence of Incest in Palin Family Emerges, Counter Evidence Remains Agonizingly Elusive" and "In a Small Alaska Town, Doubts Still Linger."

Years ago they did many skits about Idi Amin DaDa, Col. Khadaffi, Arafat and others .
It's amazing how when the left wants to insult someone, they project their own sins. It's as if the worse thing someone could do it be like them. Which I suppose is true...
Maybe I should have said “will learn of this and be disgusted by it” rather than letting it be inferred that decent people watch SNL! It’s no longer the “Bring out your pollen!” SNL, that’s for sure.
Last straw. No more SNL for me.
I knew the daily kos did the incest bit, but didn’t know about the times.
Are you kidding me? They actually put that in a news story?
Guys, read the comments and descriptions above. This was a satire of the NEWS MEDIA, and a very good one, it seems. The question was supposed to be something that your average transgendered, never been out of Manhattan news reporter might ask, not the opinion of SNL on Palin.
No, the SNL sketch just used it as an example of something the NY Times would likely concoct. The paper didn’t really report that. Although if such a charge appeared on Daily Kos, it will likely show up in the Times within three days.
They are making fun of the NYT-which deserves it.
Go back and re-read my post.
I stated from the beginning that the skit was a slam on the media, the NYT’s in particular.
I just wished they had picked a different topic to use besides incest.
Get it now?
I’m pretty sure it was in the Kos when they broke the original Palin was not the mother story, they suggestion was that Todd Palin was the “real” father.
Do you think thats possible?....In this case, I do.
Hope somebody starts a new thread when they find this on YouTube - I thought the first skit was so stupid I turned off my DVR...
Sounds exactly like the next front page above the fold article in the NYSlimes.
Drudge reported earlier that they were going to do a send up against the NYSlimes.
Guess they succeeded but it was ambiguous enough to leave the viewer with an ugly impression of the Palin’s.
This must be the skit created by Al Franken.
I saw it too and was appalled...I had to change the channel.
This is a classic ‘when did you stop beating your wife’ routine, while the argument can be made that SNL was ridiculing the Lamestream media for their partisan attacks on the Palin family, the consistent media lies are still broadcast loud and clear, which consist of false and totally unsubstantiated accusations of immoral, corrupt, depraved, ignorant and inhuman behavior by a fine and decent family who, by all indicators, uphold the value of human life, care for their own with all the love and compassion they can muster, respect the Almighty and seek His mercy and strength.
One day those liars will be condemned by their own words, and will get to spend eternity with the father of liars himself, ol’ Beelzebub way downstairs in the furnace room.
That’s the problem. They should shut them off.
NBC hits NY TIMES with Palin.
Wish they’d brought in the Marines.
It's akin to what my brother says, every time he starts to feel any disillusionment about Republicans, he visits Democratic Underground.
