The Tennessean reports what blogs have been buzzing about all day:
The son of state Rep. Mike Kernell has been contacted by authorities in connection with a probe into the hacking of the personal e-mail of vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin, Kernell confirmed on Thursday.
Kernell, a Memphis Democrat, said his 20-year-old son David had been contacted by authorities investigating the hacking of Palin’s personal email account.
AdvertisementThe FBI and the Secret Service started a formal investigation on Wednesday into the hacking.
David Kernell is a student at the University of Tennessee-Knoxville. Mike Kernell said he spoke to his son on Thursday, as he does on a regular basis.
Kernell otherwise declined to comment, or discuss his son’s whereabouts and whether he was in custody.

The beauty of it is, it doesn’t matter. They can track him with ISP data because he took a screenshot when he shouldn’t have and gave away enough information to nail himself. Now, between the proxy he used and his ISP, they could burn his house down and it would still be obvious that he did it.
It’s not clear that the kid was the hacker. How do we know the information wasn’t on his father’s computer? Could be some other hacker (Obama operative) got the information and the kid was spreading it around.
Where’s the Obama campaign condemning this? This should be called Kernellgate. These hackers have been uncovered, but how many other hackers have the Obama campaign sanctioned to do this kind of “investigating” of Sarah Palin?
I just heard from Brit Hume. Jill Greenberg (or whatever her name is) the git who took the photos of McCain, was dropped from the photo group she was associated with.
I believe it to be the truth. All the information that I need is that he is the son of a Memphis Dem politician.

Nothing, they will do nothing. The Bush justice department is a waste.
That’s because the Clintons were under their protection. Palin is now under their protection. They don’t care who they are protecting (they probably do but keep it to themselves) They take it quite personal when someone goes after someone on their watch.

Gosh, I know what you are/were going through. We were without power for a week during an ice storm. Thinking back I’ll take being without power in an ice storm and cold weather over being without power in a place with heat and humidity. Your situation made me realize how lucky I was! Our freezer stuff spoiled as did everyone’s. All summer long when we drove by the landfill we could smell the spoiled refrigerator smell, it’s about gone now.
