Thats among registereds. Among likely voters, he leads by the same margin, a bad result given that Mavericks typically fared much better with that group. Maybe those young Obamites are tuning in and turning out after all?
Exercise caution until we have details about the sample, as some of these swings are eye-poppingly dramatic. Even so, its safe to say the bounce is indeed gone:

Sorry I don’t put much stock in the DNC’s CBS Division.
The CBS polls have been out of line with most of the rest, so this doesn’t really surprise me.
McCain needs to get on the offensive about Obama’s ties to Freddie and Fannie and McCain’s attempt to reform them in the past that was blocked by the dems or this thing is over.
That was just brought out on Fox. I don’t think that McCain’s group is just going to coast into November.
"Show me just what Mohammed brought that was new, and there you will find things only evil and inhuman, such as his command to spread by the sword the faith he preached." - Manuel II Palelologus
And it wouldn’t hurt to remind voters of Biden’s family problems.
Kerry by 6 ...
This is just foreplay until the debates, as long as either candidate remains close, these polls are worthless.
I believe the CBS, NBC and ABC combined polls are designed to change voters minds and bear no semblance of truth.
Hussein Obama needs to lead all polls by 15 points from now until election day in order to win.
Leading by 5 points or less won’t get it done for the One...
Did you see the sample and read the article?
This totally contrived poll is nothing more than a morale booster for the Dems. It is an outlier, to say the least, and does not compute with all the up-to-date and more reputable polls showing McCain gains in the electoral map where it counts. UP in Virginia, UP in Florida, still solid in Ohio, PA still in play — no huge shifts in any of these states except TOWARDS McCain. For this poll to be true, it means that states like Texas and California (not NY!), that aren’t in play to begin with, had a momentary surge for Palin and have now gone back home to roost. Personally, I could care less if 2% of Texas and 5% of California changed their minds about Palin. OUTLIER, OUTLIER! Worthless poll.
I don’t know why he isn’t playing this card.
These polls mean nothing this far out. Obama is still in trouble in the battleground states.
I think McCain needs to go on more of an offensive before next Friday’s debate.
It’s interesting......how come you only see numbers like that from people that really, really want Obama to win? This guy has got to loose big time.....by big numbers. I see no way out of it.
I say he should hold his fire until the debates. Bigger audience.
The Rasmussen Reports daily Presidential Tracking Poll for Wednesday is unchanged with John McCain attracting 48% of the vote while Barack Obama earns 47%.
Did they sample 10% more Democrats? That’s really crazy.
