JUNEAU, Alaska (AP) Alaska's attorney general says state employees subpoenaed in the investigation of Gov. Sarah Palin will not testify.
In a letter to the Democratic state senator overseeing the investigation, Attorney General Talis Colberg asks that the subpoenas be withdrawn. He also says the employees will not appear before the investigator unless either the full state Senate or the entire Alaska Legislature votes to compel their testimony.

Of course, it will be played up as “Palin is terrified. She has a lot to hide”. It might make more sense if they addressed the issue vocally, exposed it for what it was , and let the public chew on that for awhile. Instead, it will receive just enough exposure and out-of-context attention to make it look like a desperate move on Palin’s behalf by her own “old-boy network” that she left there.

sounds fair to me
Seems like McCain is learning from mistakes Bush made. Bush was all too often willing to cooperate with these things which were obvious witch hunts.
Is it the Alaska AG telling the committee this...or the employees via their lawyers? The article is short on info.
Thanks! I just feel like an idiot when it happens. LOL! I think it’s going to happen with this post too!
also a bunch of Alaska state reps are supposed to file suit to enjoin the dog and pony show. Nice things happen to leaders with 80% approval ratings!
As I asked in the other thread, how in the hell is this kind of show trial witch hunt authorized? It screams conflict of interest light years away. I don’t get it.
“Yuk, Yuk, SNORT”...ping! :-) Stupid dims. :-)
I got the impression it was the Alaska AG on behalf of the employees of the state. Don’t know how Todd Palin would fit into that though.
Looks like the Alaska witch hunt is on indefinite hold.
Slam the door shut on Tasergate!
Sarah wins!
I’m moving to Alaska. Its the only place left in this country where people still have balls.
big moose ones
Just my opinion, but it looks to me like the earlier release of the damaging emails demonstrating insubordination made them realize Gov. Palin would come out of this fully justified.
Killing this now allows them to leave the issue “out there” for the MSM to try to inflict more damage while keeping the truth from coming to light.
I wonder how many times the inference will be made to “troopergate” on MSNBC and how the Governor “got off” and must have been applying more pressure to compel employees not to testify. The issue remains a “seriousness of the charge” issue instead of “vindicated”.
LOL...this is delicious...Alaskans love Governor Sarah Palin...and so do I.
Sounds like a spank to me!
What a heart throb....
Oh, my.
Nothing like passive resistance or non-cooperation to sink a case.
