McCain has said repeatedly that he is not going back to the 2007 amnesty bill. It’s dead. That’s why he changed his tune to secure the borders. Of course there will have to be an immigration solution but it starts with securing the borders and deporting criminal aliens. McCain has stressed this.

Next time I go to a restaurant and find the dining room too crowded I’ll just go into the kitchen and take my food. I’ll use the excuse that there weren’t enough tables.
If you want to reallocate some of our ‘quota’ to people from Latin America that’s fine by me, but only if it these slots were only open to people who have not previously violated our immigration laws, identity theft laws, or tax laws.
There are a lot of illegals from the lands of my ancestry in eastern europe and I don’t want amnesty for them either.
