Much you'd expect, but much not on the list you think would be. Area 51 is available, so is Vandenberg and Norfolk. A few nuke sites but most are off the list.
Also when this gets around, probably a new Art Bell program will come from the HAARP mention.

1. The White House: Google Maps’ images of the White House show a digitally erased version of the roof in order to obscure the air-defense and security assets that are in place.
Do you really think it's odd that Google would mask that info? I don't.

#14 Ramstein Air Base in Germany: Ramstein Air Base figures prominently in Operation Iraqi Freedom and Operation Enduring Freedom. It’s the home of the 86th Airlift Wing and headquarters of U.S. Air Forces in Europe. It is also a NATO installation. Americans, Canadians, Germans, British, French and other nationalities comprise the base’s population.

Actually, only part of the tarmac and the terminal complex are blurred out. I’m actually surprised by what I can see.

Funny how this
Russkie site wasn't on the list. Unless I missed it.

Here’s another for the list. Last I looked, the Haditha Dam and environs in Anbar were blurred out on Google Earth.

I am surprised by the number of locations in the Netherlands that made this list. As far as White Plains RR station goes, why? That's an all concrete ugly building, and there are many buildings around it that are higher, and I'm sure at least one of them is a hotel. So getting aerial shots of the RR station shouldn't be difficult at all. Of course, you could also just fly a plane from nearby Westchester Airport and take pictures (with some sort of zoom lens). Playland is not far away and should be easy to take pictures of from overhead.
Are these things available froms maps.live.com, which I find much cooler than google maps?

The mountain Jabal al-Lawz in Saudi Arabia is also (at least used to be) blurred out. Many believe it to be the true location of Mt. Sinai.

A couple of years ago I tried to look at the space tracking antennas (85 foot and 210 foot diameter) at Goldstone Dry Lake near Death Valley. I found the paved runway adjacent easily, but the dishes themselves were obviously fogged. This was on Terraserver, which was a sort of predecessor to Google Maps. I suppose this installation could have some defense or military value, but in 1963 when I went there on a visit to JPL there was no sort of restriction. We flew up in a Piper Cherokee from El Monte and landed on the bare dry lake bed next to a line of landing light stakes. Sort of like visiting the moon.
