We need correspondents!
If you’re watching a morning show, please post comments on it to the thread.
Thanks in advance!
Good morning, Alas!
I see Schieffer decided to have a chick chat. I think that was dumb.
And again, Wolf Blitzer has a guest worth hearing - Marsha Blackburn, Tennessee representative = an excellent spokesman, and another of the new wave of Republicans who will keep the values of the party alive.
Wolf always has at least one guest that I do not want to miss, thus using up more of my day than I would like to devote to these shows!
Honestly, Brokaw is soooo dull and boring it is really difficult to hear his voice anymore.
BS is going to have his hands full. :)
I can hardly wait to hear Woodward. You know he is the “investigative ‘ reporter whose hardworking investigations brought down Nixon. He was able to take daily phone calls from Deep Throat and with help from Bernstein type them up each day. I mean, now THAT’s series journalism.
Now there is no Deep Throat so he just uses his own opinions and gives us HIS interpretation of what Bush said.
I mean, THAT’s series journalism.
BTW, how Bush could stand to work everyday with these dumb arrogant , mind numbing boobs floating around him is beyond me! THAT alone should rank him as greatest Pres ever.
Morning guys and gals thanks AB catch up in a few.
Michelle Obama is a malevolent force. Has a world class attitude, big chip on her shoulder, and would be the worst “first ‘lady’” ever. She certainly wears the pants in the family. Hopefully she will prove to be the millstone around Bambi’s neck that will slow his approach to the finish line.
Morning Ladies, Gems, AB....
...Can’t hang around long, got mass this morning and tada...mother-in-law is visiting this weekend.
She is from Massachusetts and folks something’s gotten to the woman.
She HATES Sarah Palin, thinks she ought to stay home with her five children and leave Vice-Presidenting to a man. She thinks John McCain is way too old to be President although she, herself, is 79 years old, 80 this coming October.
She says that we shouldn’t hold William Ayers and Rezko against Obama (who she thinks is a very nice young man and for whom she seriously thinks she will vote) because Obama disavowed those shady characters and that’s good enough for her.
She thinks Dubya will go down as the worst president ever and we had no business going into Iraq.
On and on it goes folks and even with my amazing rhetoric skills I am unable to make a dent in the liberal mindset.
Oh....and she gives Sarah Palin no credit for giving birth to her retarded child. She says Palin should not be condemned necessarily for having the child but such things should not be encouraged.
My husband, and her son, tells me his mother done went over the edge. Her other son, who lives in Massachusetts but is miserable with that state killing families and ignoring the will of the voters, does his best to get through to his mother but....alas.
It’s awful, folks. She’s not a stupid woman, not at all. She is originally from the Midwest as is my husband. The rest of the family is conservative but as she gets older she gets more insanely liberal and as my husband says, she sits around in her senior community in that liberal hell hole and gets her mind twisted and tortured.
Anyway, will check back later.
The C-SPAN chat show this morning had Jane Hamsher as a guest, who obviously suffers from Palin Derangement Syndrome. She also must feel that talking over the other guest and the moderator must be a sign that she is accurate and correct. If only we could get her scheduled as a guest on all these shows, the election would become much easier.
she really needed to wash and dye her hair before the show. ugh.
Your comment re being from the Midwest warms my heart. We here in Illinois feel your pain on a more local basis a la Mary Mitchell.
PS tell your M-in-law to try to pronounce her A's and R's better. See how that goes over.
LATE EDITION (CNN) : R. David Paulison, administrator of the Federal Emergency Management Agency; Govs. Tim Pawlenty, R-Minn., and Bill Richardson, D-N.M.; Sen. Dianne Feinstein, D-Calif.; Rep. Marsha Blackburn, R-Tenn.; Linda Douglass, adviser to Barack Obama; Nancy Pfotenhauer, adviser to McCain.
.
Nancy Pfotenhauer, seem to remember her as being good and articulant, unfortunately, being it’s Blitzer, I remember him as being left wing bias, with a lack of understanding lower tax rates have increased revenue to the the pork spenders
I just came back from visiting my 88 year old mother (who just had her second knee replacement) and she is so excited about Palin. I talked to one of her friends, an 89 year old WWII Vet, and he too is now excited and believes McCain will indeed win it. We all agreed that the media is out to destroy Palin but their efforts are backfiring. And, old people vote.
I’ll watch FNS and Reliable Sources and report as I can. MTP although still number one in the numbers game is boring as ever. Brokaw doesn’t do his homework like Russert used to and he just doesn’t seem all that interested in doing the show.
I hope to hear lots of talk about how Charlie Gibson gave a false representation of his Palin interview; Charlie has joined the ranks of the propagandists. Hopefully Reliable Sources will report on that (but....Kurtz is part of the good old boy network and will probably protect and defend his liberal buddy Charlie).
