Your comment re being from the Midwest warms my heart. We here in Illinois feel your pain on a more local basis a la Mary Mitchell.
PS tell your M-in-law to try to pronounce her A's and R's better. See how that goes over.
Tell me more about Mary Mitchell.
MIL and husband are from Indiana...solid midwest. She always votes, attends church...even helped found and build a church in Columbus, In.
Her husband, now dead, was President of Baybanks in Massachusetts, now part of BankofAmerica.
I got her all upset when I launched into a rant about Massachusetts, Barney Frank and, of course, Ted Kennedy. I ranted why did Mass. keep electing these freaks...
Well she told me that decent people live in Mass. and you know what? I forgot I wasn’t on a Freep forum with folks of like mind. It really was improper of me to cast aspersions on the citizens of Mass., however true mind you, in her presence.
Although my husband will carry on bejeesus about Mass. and he lived there for 25 years.
Now I must worry about being cut out of the will. She already tole me that should she die, and my husband is dead when she dies, she will leave me something but NOT if I am remarried.
HEH.
You got to know that this something waaaaay down the bottom of my list but to all you fine fellows out there...we’re just gonna have to live together.
;)
