His backers jittery, Obama steps up attacks on McCain, belittling him as a disco age relic

Belittling John McCain as a relic of the disco age, Democrat Barack Obama pushed his campaign Friday to a new level of counter-punching "on the issues that matter" and directed his running mate to be tougher on their Republican opponents.

The changes come as national polls find McCain and his running mate, Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin, pulling ahead of Obama and Joe Biden, prompting some jittery Democrats to implore them to fight back harder, and Obama's camp to pledge "speed and ferocity" in that effort.

His backers are jittery? Sounds like a term describing weird Soro’s sex.

That’s why I thought it was a really poor political move. Older voters are the most reliable voters there are. The youth vote may or may not show up, but the seniors will be there.

So you belittle a subset of people who do not use email...I know many elderly people who don’t own a computer or use email. Dumb move for the 0.

I tried to teach my elderly in-laws how to use a computer so they could email their out of town family. It wasn’t a sell...they said, “Well just phone them instead.”

Particularly ironic that Mr. Obama is taking this tack in attacking McCain.

His whole convention and campaign have been dominated by music from the disco era and before- Springsteen, Bon Jovi, Stevie Wonder, etc.

I don’t know McCain’s attachment to disco is, if any, but considering the fact he is old he has a lot more of an excuse than the young, “with it” Obama.

Obama is trying to pander to everyone, young and old. Might have worked in the years before modern telecommunications where every speech is on youtube instantaneously, but its a move of desparation in my opinion.

"You know, I'm not going to be making up lies about John McCain," Obama told undecided voters in Dover.

Yeah, BO is lost without his teleprompter.

Someone should put together an ad or picture showing BHO’s visage below a keyboard, and McCain’s picture below a jetfighter cockpit. Which is harder to master?

Scumbag reporter: ""He admits he still doesn't know how to use a computer, can't send an email ..""<

"McCain gets emotional at the mention of military families needing food stamps
or veterans lacking health care. The outrage comes from inside: McCain’s severe
war injuries prevent him from combing his hair, typing on a keyboard, or tying his shoes.
Friends marvel at McCain’s encyclopedic knowledge of sports. He’s an avid fan
- Ted Williams is his hero - but he can’t raise his arm above his shoulder to throw a baseball."

Boston Globe (circa 2000)

“GREAT STRATEGY”

Keep it up Obama, let us know how you really feel. I can see you in a land slide come November.
You’re nothing more than a Chicago thug, so keep it up.

"Today is the first day of the rest of the campaign," Obama campaign manager David Plouffe said ...

Man o manischevitz. You know they gotta be hurting to resort to that kind of pablum.

That's right, Obama - poke fun at a war hero's wounds he sustained while serving our nation.

Keep it up, fun-boy...

Zerobama keeps stepping in $hit. Captain Zero was at the World Trade Center on 9/11 and uses this disco age relic comment. Get a load of the lyrics from Disco Inferno
<

Burn baby burn! Burn baby burn! Burn baby burn! Burn baby burn!

Burnin'!

To mass fires, yes! One hundred stories high
People gettin' loose y’all gettin' down on the roof - Do you hear?
(the folks are flaming) Folks were screamin' - out of control
It was so entertainin' - when the boogie started to explode I heard somebody say

Burn baby burn! - Disco inferno!
Burn baby burn! - Burn that mama down
Burn baby burn! - Disco inferno!
Burn baby burn! - Burn that mama down
Burnin'!

How much money is obama paying his campaign consultants? Whatever it is it isn’t enough from my perspective. Keep up the good work team obama, keep driving up Big Mac’s poll numbers.

The salaries of the consultants may be a big reason why Obama is now going this route. From the looks of it, he's close to having blown his massive fundraising take on the largest campaign infrastructure ever employed by a Presidential Campaign. And now, two months out from the election, his funding well maybe running dry - at the same time McCain just got a fresh infusion of $80 million from public financing.

His base supporters are demanding these kinds of attacks. So he needs to dish them out in order to keep the bucks flowing in.

How utterly ironic if Obama's campaign is doomed by him having used the same management style that Democrats have been using for Goverment for the last 70 years (build up all sorts of wasteful and expensive infrastructure that MUST continue to be supported)

Seriously, can anyone -- ANYONE -- imagine Sen. John McCain in a John Travolta Saturday Night Fever white suit?

Disco era? McCain's image doesn't jive with the disco era.

Hmmmmm ... I wonder if he could've spoken Jive in "Airplane".

Wait a minute...I did the Hustle in high school and John McCain is at least 25 years older than I am!

McCain is more a Rat Pack Relic...in which case, is just another point in his favor.

Yet The Gaffiah uses running a Presidential campaign as his record of “experience.”
