Belittling John McCain as a relic of the disco age, Democrat Barack Obama pushed his campaign Friday to a new level of counter-punching "on the issues that matter" and directed his running mate to be tougher on their Republican opponents.
The changes come as national polls find McCain and his running mate, Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin, pulling ahead of Obama and Joe Biden, prompting some jittery Democrats to implore them to fight back harder, and Obama's camp to pledge "speed and ferocity" in that effort.

Pure trash.
I wonder if his backers gave him a cheap pawn shop pistol to maintain this image?
The ad was LAME. But what is even worse is they attack McCain for not being able to use a computer. What they don’t realize is McCain’s disability prevents him from typing. He has to dictate to his wife or staff to surf the net and send e-mails. Slick move.
Attack ads? Say it ain’t so...
And here is the genius of Sarah Palin, while they attack McCain, Sarah takes the ball and appears all over the US and draws support for McCain Palin, that is something that Joe Biden cannot do.
Hit McCain as much as they’d like, the moms are bringing their daughters to see Sarah Palin...
I hope old people in Florida and in other places make Obama pay for his ageism. I bet more of them vote than “young people”.
I sure hope this is true....
Stand up Chuck.
Everyone else is standing up.
No doubt BHO will be out for blood during the debates. Hopefully, it will lead to some unhinged moments.
Strange, Obama was in high school when disco was all the rage. SO if anyone was out there at the disco or the roller disco it was probably Obama. Or maybe he was too nerdy to dance so he stayed home and listened to Village People alone.
That just kills me everytime...LOL...
That one is much funnier then Quayle and his “potatoe”
Stand up Chuck...oh my god love ya chuck your making everyone else stand up though...
ROFL...
He stayed home with Captian Jack.
The article is about Obama’s appearance at “a town hall-style meeting in blue-collar Dover [NH], ...about 325 supporters and independents”
Well, that’s a big crowd! /s
And the Glen Grasso quoted in the article is “a 39-year-old doctoral student.”
How much money is obama paying his campaign consultants? Whatever it is it isn’t enough from my perspective. Keep up the good work team obama, keep driving up Big Mac’s poll numbers.
Looks like Florida has already caught on......

Actually, disco is making a comeback.
Someone should put together an ad or picture showing BHO’s visage below a keyboard, and McCain’s picture below a jetfighter cockpit. Which is harder to master?
Keep it coming - Free publicity thanks to Obama-maniacs!!!
The more the media keep chanting whatever the "O" shouts the better the American people warm up to McCain/Palin!
Our county RNC office phones are ringing off the walls wanting everything McCain/Palin! We had lots of McCain stuff but these people would rather wait a few days for anything that says McCain/Palin!!!
That should tell us something - that most of our county (as well as the two adjoining counties) were mostly lukewarm on McCain, now they can't wait to donate, sign up to walk their neighborhoods and sport McCain/Palin signs, bumper stickers and the few other McCain/Palin stuff we can get our hands on.
