No wonder everyone was saying that Palin didn’t seem herself- that she seemed stilted, as if she was giving canned answers. They were reacting to the cut and paste jobs, that would have not only altered her words, but would have made her body language and tenor appear awkward.
Is this not journalistic malpractice? Could Palin not sue for slander? I beleive public figures can only sue for slander under very limited conditions, like intentional maliciousness, but I think this meets that test.
Yes. Sarah knows where she stands. She does stand for truth.
to me, She represents all that is right with this country.
Unbelievable. Shameful. Purposefully deceptive. THIS MAKES ME ANGRY. ABC this is beyond bias. This is subterfuge. This is sabotage.
I will be writing all my congress critters and forawrding this to everyone I know.
I also think this should be posted prominently on every dang blog and on Drudge. ABC MUST BE CALLED ON THIS, AND THE PUBLIC MUST KNOW THE TRUTH.
Thank you for posting the Hyperlink to write my Complaint!!!!
I laid into ABC and hit the 500 character limit.
I am looking forward to her interview with Sean Hannity.
Well, either Mark Levin got the full transcript from ABC News or he got got it from the McCain campaign.
Let's ask Mark. *ping*
Thanks for the link.
That bothers me, too. It was sooo obvious. Like ABC was hanging a huge "Kick Me" sign on their backside. Now the question is, why? Aside from slanting the view, was there another reason to be less than professional with the editing? This is just plain weird. Or are they so far gone they think the sheeple wouldn't notice how choppy it was? (now if you'll excuse me, my tinfoil hat needs some adjusting....)
No. The questions were fine. This turned very bad when Gibson and ABC (All Barack Channel) decided that the American public did not deserve to hear the complete answers given by Governor Palin. ABC is no better than MSNBC. They have opened the closet door, but being the cowards that they are, they are scared to come on out.
Let's hope that McCain/Palin learned their lesson. Good to see you too!
a done deal.
I tell you what else this sort of editing does. It’s not just that you don’t hear all she knows or has to say. It’s that her answers appear rather short, as if she didn’t have anything else to say. In fact that struck me as I watched portions of the interview. I thought, OK, she doing OK but she isn’t saying much.
Bastards, all of them.
bump
Charlie Gibson just clinched the Dan Rather Truth in Journalism award.
Obama had “rules” when he was interviewed by O’Reilly. One was that there would be no editing.
ABC and Charlie Gibson should be ashamed of themselves, they butchered the Palin interview in order to serve their own purposes = make Palin look like a crazy incompetent and to push their “Vote for Obama” agenda.
I left a comment. I’m fed up. Tough questions are one thing, but 0bama got no tough questions PLUS Palin got a biased guy trying to “trick” her.
Gibson is an ass.
bumpity uppity
