Developing: On September 12's "View" co-host Whoopi Goldberg inquired of Senator John McCain, "do you want me to be a slave?"
The question was spurned by the Senator's stance on Roe v. Wade. When McCain answered he supports judges who support the original intent of the Constitution, Whoopi drew a slavery comparison.
Heh...Ok. More like, crazy like a fox!
Does this mean that Whoopie will now receive an honorary JD from Harvard?

Obviously, Whoopi was helped by originalists and not by “living by whim” justices.
Originalists realized the constitution could be amended. So that’s what they did.
Now it specifically prohibits slavery.
Whoopi should thank a Republican for getting that started.

I would be looking for more civil rights oriented justices such as the Republican Dr Martin Luther King and Clarence Thomas.

The correct answer would have been, “No, I do not want you to be a slave. I want your civil rights protected by written laws, rather than depend on the whims of a particular set of judges. Where the law is wrong, we can change it, where whims and fads lead us is too dangerous and unpredictable to tell.”
