Oh, I was being tongue-and-cheek about the Swedes. I am sure that based on our country's past immigration policies that there are plenty of Hispanics in Michigan. Probably hard to find jalapenos, though.

I think we are seeing a trend though. I don't want to get on a diatribe because I have been watching Michigan for some time now and if you look at my forum posts, I feel this is where McCain can throw some salt on Obama’s game and if Obama doesn't hold Michigan, it is game over. Michigan breaks down to one single county, Macomb county and the RNC in Macomb has reported a huge upswing in registration, calls, and enthusiasm where the DNC has seen the opposite. The local DNC is desperate to get Obama to reverse the trend because they feel they are losing traction and they don't want that rose pinned on them.

The internals in this poll were from a random number generator.

So ignore the internals, and just leave it that another poll shows McCain tied in Michigan. I'm sure some of the polls which don't show internals may show some silly things as well.

That is, after all, why we consider so many polls together, unlike the MSM idiots who took the Q poll and are claiming a big lead for O'bomber in Ohio.

Good point. I’ve met a lot of people who fled from Socialist Republic of Michigan. There are no jobs. Their older folks who work at the automakers can never be fired, and they have no incentive to retire. And even if they do die, or retire, the automakers can’t afford to hire anyone new.

So, they can’t get rid of dead weight, and they can’t hire new young workers who will work for less than the outrageous rates required by the Union contracts. So, the union idiots sit on their fat lazy asses until they die, and the kids....well, they leave the state. Socialism in action. Its completely illogical and makes no sense.

Yeah, I never heard of these guys.

I think McCain will win Michigan, eventually. He’s just not there yet...

This poll is a joke. McCain does not lead by 1. He does not lead with Hispanics by 30 pts. This amateur hour outfit is not worthy of any attention or excitement.

Do you think blacks are that stupid?

I don’t for a second believe that they will all vote for snObama just because he is black.

“Looking at the breakout I think this poll is made up!”

And a relatively small sample, 500, this poll is too skewed in too many different ways to put a lot of stock into it.

What is surprising here is that McCain has a sizeable lead among 18-29 year olds and hispanics

“I am thinking the black voters that may be going toward McCain probably have religious or personal views against abortion.

That is the only thing that would make sense to me at this point”

There are a lot of really good people who just happen to be black voters, and I think that Obmah’s dwindling support is due more to Jeremiah Wright, Tony Rezko, etc.

I am thinking the black voters that may be going toward McCain probably have religious or personal views against abortion. That is the only thing that would make sense to me at this point.

While I doubt any pollster would be able to accurately get the information, I'm curious how the percentage of support for Palin among those who have been involved with abortion compares with that of those who have not. I would expect that liberals who have not been involved with abortion might look at Gov. Palin's family (esp. Piper and her fawning over Trig) and decide on a gut level that's what they want for themselves; those who have been involved with abortion would be more inclined to pretend it's what they don't want.

That would be interesting to analyze. I can tell you that the abortion issue is not a litmus test for me. I believe there are many women out there like that who vote on multiple issues and not just one.

I voted for Bill Clinton twice and then went over to the dark side ;o) with President Bush. I am an independent who agrees more with the Republicans when it comes to taxes, our economy, drilling and especially homeland security. I believe there are a lot of people like that.

The women in NOW try and scare and guilt women to not vote Republican because they want us to believe that if we vote for conservatives, women will be barefoot and pregnant or dead due to illegal abortions. I am happy to see more women joining the Republican party and not falling for their scare tactics anymore.

“Get ready Obama was told by Clinton to start talking about Amnesty”

That is actually great. The majority of conservatives and I believe of dems think illegals are very bad for the USA and most folks support tighter border security.
