In Cleveland, the Northeast Ohio Coalition for the Homeless is coordinating transportation for about 2000 shelter dwellers to cast ballots between Sept. 30th and Oct. 6TH at the Cuyahoga County Board of Elections.

Last month, democratic Secretary of State Jennifer Brunner told local elections boards to have policies in place to allow first-time voters to both register and vote on the same day.

Ohio Republican Party Chairman Bob Bennett says Brunner improperly interpreted state law.

This is where our universal franchise policy becomes hugely problematic for me. Ugh.

I think the election will come down to the courts. And the anarchist troops rioting in our streets. Again.

Whether Obama wins or loses, things will go badly for our country as a result of Barack winning or losing.

The peaceful transition of power (at least when Republicans win) is over this country thanks to Clinton-Gore.

I wish I didn’t have to work in this rat-infested county.

I think what you say is very possible - but not definite.

I think that the possibly of civil disturbance is very real - just hard to tell how bad it will be,

I just have an ugly feeling about Ohio.

It is also going to come from Chicago with people being brought in by Church buses according to a Dem plan that got in the ‘right’ hands.

Ohio is a mess when it comes to voting but then it is where the Daley machine stole the election for Pres Kennedy so some things never change.

How can you possibly “register” and “vote” on same day (with no ‘residency’ or residency history?). Why not just bring in busloads of illegal immigrants, vagrants, prisoners, from every state in the nations and into Ohio to register and vote on same day???

Agree. For starters I suggest that only income tax paying citizens vote. It is slow, certain, national suicide to allow otherwise.

If I’m reading the application correctly, application must be received 30 days prior to voting. Look at left column under “notice”....C

That’s a great idea, of course, but can you imagine how fast the ACLU would slap a lawsuit against Congress?

Immediately; I am under no illusion that my idea has any chance, there is none. Still, I can day dream that only those with a positive stake in our way of life can vote.

I have a good feeling about Ohio. I think McCain will do significantly better than Bush did in '04.

It's unfortunate that a lot of people are going to vote the right way for, at least in part, the wrong reason. But it's going to happen.

On a more pleasant note, a lot of women are disgusted by the attacks on Sarah and much of what would have been Hillary's less doctrinaire support will be going our way.

Let's not forget that this woman was also registering college kids at Oberlin with only a water bill as proof of citizenship. Didn't care if they were registered to vote back home.

Also, there were precincts in Cleveland that the voter turnout was 100%. You can't get 100% of the people to turn out if you were giving away free money.

That’s what ACORN did in Milwaukee in 2004. It cost Bush the state of Wisconsin.
