Al-Qaeda 'marks 9/11 with video'

Zawahiri is thought to be in hiding on the Afghan-Pakistan border The Islamic militant network al-Qaeda, which claimed the 9/11 attacks, has issued a video to mark their seventh anniversary, an Arabic TV channel says.
In the 90-minute tape obtained by Qatar's al-Jazeera TV, deputy leader Ayman al-Zawahiri denounces Iran and the "Crusader" threat to Islam.

Zawahiri is last known to have appeared in an al-Qaeda video in April.
Other al-Qaeda videos since the 9/11 attacks on America in 2001 featured the group's leader, Osama Bin Laden.

Zawahiri is shown accusing Iran of "co-operating with the Americans in occupying Iraq and Afghanistan".
The deputy leader of al-Qaeda, which draws its support from Sunni Muslims, also condemns Shia Muslims for not calling for a holy war in Iraq against Western forces there.

There is still not a day I don't shed tears over what happened that day. This should be REQUIRED watching for all high school students. My kids were in HS when it happened and all the teachers turned the Ty’s on and kept them on all day.

Only 1 teacher in the whole school did not. Everyone of the students ask her what's up is the TV not working and she just no were not going to watch it. My son got up and walked out of her classroom. When she ask where he thought he was going, he told her to another classroom where a true educator would be interested that this was a major tragedy that would change our history. Needless to say the entire class followed him. Guess you could say my son gave the pseudo “teacher” a lesson that day.

That is why he joined the military along with 7 other kids within a mile of our home.

Damn shame so many that said they would never forget, have!

No I'm just the normal American not one of this Keith Overdone or Prissy Matthews Pansy's. It just gets me all fired up again about these Terrorist appeasers. I]m sure they all think if we just won't bring it up it won't ever happen again.

MY daughter did the same thing to her Liberal so called College professor over a comment he made once about Nam and how it compared to the war today Needless to day she got NO backup but she stood her ground and darn well spoke her mind. He didn't like her a lot after that, lol.

All I can say is at least my kids see the truth for what it is and will stand up for it and for that I am very thankful.

My nephew is in Afghanistan. His chopper got wiped out by small arms fire about two weeks ago. He is okay but the pilot was killed and three others injured.

He escorted the body and injured men to Dubai for evacuation.

Now I read that the media has agreed to keep 9/11 photos and video under wraps as much as possibe to prevent them from being run or shown so they don't "needlessly upset" us.

I don't know if it is true or not but I do know that there aren't very many stories about 9/11 on the news sites I have looked at.

I will never forget...

I’ve never forgotten. My flag went to half-mast at sunrise this AM as it does every Sept. 11. I’m going back to NYC in a week and a half and I’m sure, as has happened every time I return to my home town, I’ll cry when I see that hole in the skyline. I worked in and around those buildings for 18 years. I knew people, both civilians and firemen, that were murdered that morning. I remember the cars gathering dust, day after day in the LIRR parking lots....waiting for commuters who would never come home. I remember the smell.......

I am so sorry to hear we have lost another Hero but I am glad your Nephew made it our OK. I continue to keep all our Troops that are fighting the good fight in my prayers.

Sad but true, all I ever wanted to know about Islam I learned on 9/11.
