LOL

I’ve got to go. Things are starting to slow down again.
HUGS
Now what did you do?! Turn my back for a minute!:)
Shortly after the attack on Pearl Harbor, President Franklin Delano Roosevelt stated that, "Freedom cannot be bestowed; it must be achieved." Today, millions of people from many nations around the world stand united behind one ideal that the destructive agendas of the enemies of freedom shall never eclipse the light of liberty. And from the tragedy of September 11, we emerged a stronger Nation, renewed by a spirit of national pride and a true love of country.
(My bold)
Oh my goodness, u....such unique uniques. ((HUGS)) Thanks for much fun.
Going in the right direction Philly!
To all who sail aboard the USS New York, I would like to say Fair Winds and Following Seas, and may all the Crew, Sailors and Marines have the best of luck, both in doing their job in protecting this great Country and in bringing to justice the un-clean swine who inflicted the hurt upon those unsuspecting innocents who’s only crime was going to work that day to provide for their families.
Supposedly, the Muslim faith is supposed to be one of understanding and love, but I have yet to see it. I’m sorry if I’ve offended anyone here with this statement, but I can only hope that the rest of the Country, and the World wakes up and realizes that the Muslim Faith is nothing but a hateful lie. To paraphrase Stalin, “Religion is the opiate of the masses”, but then again, look at the source.
Never forget that day Folks, I know I wont, and I’ll continue to tell my grandchildren why I have no love for the Middle Eastern person who spouts “Allah Akbar!”.
Again, Good Luck to the Officers, Men and Marines who sail on the USS New York! Honor, Courage, Commitment! and Never Forget!
Amen, Beachy. Thanks for sharing that with us!
((((hugs))))
Wish I COULD be there!
Such a timeless statement....thanks for sharing that Beachie!
BTTT
Thank you Kathy and you’re welcome. I did what I did because I thought it was right, and I still think it’s right. And I’m passing that on to the next generation through my Sea Cadets. A better bunch of Young People you’ll never meet.

Good afternoon, Meg....I’m following the hurricane thread. My niece and brother and family are in Houston and they’ve never been through a hurricane. Looks to be coming right at them. They were there for Rita, tried to evac, but after hours and hours of sitting on the road, went home and waited.
How are you fixed for Ike getting to you?
My daughter and son in law are just north of Houston ..My son in law had knee surgery this morning..They are not able to leave and come here..My daughter is chronically ill and very sensitive to heat..The power will go off for sure...
I am praying they will be safe and can get here later if the power goes ..when it is safe to drive.
We will get some of it but I am about 2 and 1/2 hours from Houston..Prayers for all in harm’s way.
