I suppose it's possible that Barack Obama was not intentionally channeling Sarah Palin's lipsticked-pit bull joke with his putting lipstick on a pig poke, but even the most leftist of liberals has to admit it's highly unlikely. But in the end analysis, whether the sleek Illinois senator skewered the "Killer from Wasilla" naively or knowingly makes little difference, for every poll shows Barack has once again impaled himself on the flagpole of Palin Populism with his latest elitist comment.

Don’t forget his diapers too.
Thank you!
It wasn’t sexist. It was rude, schoolyard, name calling. If Palin responds with “I’m rubber, you’re glue . . . “, we’ll know that she’s lost her mojo, too.
I understand the strategy behind the McCain ad featuring Katie Couric. HRC supporters are more likely to respond to “sexism” than “rudeness.” But it was just rude.
BO pretends he wants to want to campaign on the issues. That he has started namecalling—”she’s a pig and he’s a stinky ol’ fish”—is just one more sign that BO has lost his mojo, knows it, and can’t figure out how to get it back.
Don’t know if it would be good or not, but I’d love to see her respond to this with:
“Yes, very classy, Mr. 0bama.”
My favorite suggestion so far is by Kathryn Lopez of NR. Next rally, Palin goes to the mic. Pulls out out a tube of lipstick. Applies some. Leans into the mike, gets a mischievous grin and says: I said pitbull senator Obama, not pig.
I like yours. Mine was a bit defensive and accusatory.
Thanks, but it’s not mine. Its Kathryn Lopez of National Review. I’m just posting it over and over hoping that a McCain honcho will read it and realize Lopez’ suggestion is brilliant.
laughing :)
Obummer wasn’t talking about Sarah Palin when he talked about putting lipstick on a pig and still having a pig. It looks to me as if the bacon is in the leftmost picture.
You can put a Muslim in a church for 20 years with a bible, but he’s still a Muslim..
It wasn't, but his attempt to spin out of it on Letterman was. Does he think McCain only selected her because she's a "girl" or did McCain tap an effective Governor with strong credentials in some important areas of policy (energy & reform)? Obama tried to reduce her to a shiny, pretty thing.
