Obama poked fun of McCain and Palin's new "change" mantra.
"You can put lipstick on a pig," he said as the crowd cheered. "It's still a pig."
"You can wrap an old fish in a piece of paper called change. It's still gonna stink."
"We've had enough of the same old thing."
The crowd apparently took the "lipstick" line as a reference to Palin, who described the difference between a hockey mom and a pit bull in a single word: "lipstick."

If Obama did not intend to insult Palin, his judgment should be questioned in light of the voracity of attacks his campaign and its peers are waging against Palin by way of her ‘lipstick’ joke. Unfortunately for Obama, I doubt few will believe Barak’s jabs were not meant to be a play on Palin’s lipstick joke.
I don’t believe the ‘O’ meant to publicly insult Palin personally. The lack of discretion, however, is not something we’d expect to see in a President. An apology should be given to McCain/Palin regardless of the intent. I suspect this has already happened and both parties along with the media have decided not to exploit the fullness of his bad humor.

Greta is saying that when she first heard the “Lipstick” line...she thought she was the only one that was going to take it to mean Sarah. Then she said, “apparently I wasn’t the only one from the looks of things.”
Yep! Karl said that the "pig" comment is evidence that Obambi is 'flailing'. Greta saw it as offensive, and she's gotten e-mails from others that were also offended.

Karl Rove says he should take it back...he’s losing it. Barry is reacting to the poll numbers. He’s flailing. Greta thinks it was about Sarah and she is getting emails from viewers, too. Karl is pointing out his inexperience as a political candidate, too.

Of course he did. Didn't you see him pause until the audience laughed, then he finished and they laughed and applauded. Not just a harmless old saying. An intentional insult to Palin.
What's next?/ Is he going to call her a b****, or worse the "c word". Anything is possible.
