The Alaska Democratic Party pulled this page from their site, but luckily Google has it cached - it states "the State of Alaska officially abandoned" the "Bridge to Nowhere, basically crediting Sarah Palin with killing it!
Funny how the page just happened to disappear!

the actual news was originally reported here, http://senateconservatives.com/2008/09/04/alaska-democrats-credit-palin-with-killing-bridge-to-nowhere/
Thank you for the extra info. I knew there were several things like the cocaine use that would disqualify him. His close relationship with known terrorists would also raise a very serious red flag - at least in my layman’s mind. Add in the rumors surrounding his homosexual activities, his trip to Pakistan he won’t talk about, and his upbringing which he is not being truthful about and you start opening up a whole series of situations in which Obama could be easily blackmailed. NOT GOOD... It still baffles me that so many Democrats are not even THINKING about these things. If they truly loved our country and cared about our security as a people as they claim, then Obama should’ve been history a LONG time ago...
You identified several ones I recognized but didn’t mention. I had restrictions on countries I could travel to on vacation as well as a requirement to report any contact with citizens of certain countries, however brief. Have you any idea how many Somalis drive cabs in the US?
I couldn’t even go to Berlin until the wall fell.
How can you have a president who can’t pass a top secret clearance? There ought to be something in the constitution about that. If there isn’t there should be.
Based on all that, he shouldn’t even be eligible.
I agree with both of you. It baffles me how this could’ve possibly been “overlooked” for so many years - at least in the years since we developed nuclear weapons... To think that Obama - with all of his horrid red flags - couldn’t even TOUCH the football, but yet would have the authority to “push the button” scares the heck out of me. As it rightly should anyone else, IMHO.
Very interesting indeed. How Obama could even be this close to being able to be President with all of these problems is baffling to me. It seriously defies all reasonable explanation...
This is why one has to “save as webpage” every time we find an interesting page. Drives me crazy, personally, but things keep disappearing - or worse - getting modified with no note re: that. I’ve gotten into the habit now of doing a “save as” everytime I find something I want to keep!
Bump
too late...i bet it’s saved somewhere and besides their accolades are already public record
Please see this post I just put up:

If someone can fix it so the links are hyperlinked properly, I’d appreciate it.
This article in the Washington Post quoting Ted Stevens (not exactly on friendly terms with Palin) seems to shore up Sarah’s version of events regarding the bridge:
Stevens: No Action for ‘Bridge to Nowhere’ by Palin
By Paul Kane
Count Sen. Ted Stevens (R-Alaska) as a defender of Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin’s position on the controversial “Bridge to Nowhere” project.
Stevens, who once threatened to resign his Senate seat in 2005 if $223 million for the bridge project was defeated, told reporters today that Palin was never a supporter of the project, which has quickly become a bone of contention in defining the GOP vice-presidential nominee’s self proclaimed image as a maverick reformer who took on “the good ol’ boys network” of Alaska Republicans.
“I don’t remember her ever campaigning for it. As a matter of fact, she was very critical of it at the time. And she took the money and did not use it for the bridge, so you’re wrong, as far as I’m concerned,” Stevens said today.

Of course, being that this came from a MSM source, there’s the snide suggestion in the article that Stevens would not say anything that might prevent an endorsement from Palin, especially now that he’s indicted and she’s a VP candidate...but he seems pretty adamant that she was not for the bridge.
Not surprised. There is a lot at stake. Freedom vs Socialism.
No holds barred.
Biting, hair pulling, eye gouging, snap kick to the nuts. All legal. Not nice, but in an alley fight, you do what you have to do.
This is serious business.
Fascism is no laughing matter to the left. Freedom is not free for the right.
I put this on my blog along with a snap shot of the page they deleted.
48 hours and it will be gone. Someone needs to do a screen grab.
How much money did she take and what was it used for, I wonder.
Thanks — good idea.
