WASHINGTON Democrat Barack Obama says he would delay rescinding President Bushs tax cuts on wealthy Americans if he becomes the next president and the economy is in a recession, suggesting such an increase would further hurt the economy.

Your analysis would make sense if fiscal policy were about
a strong economy and tax revenue
and not about
“a matter of fairness”.
In other words, to Obama, tax policy is about breaking the 10th commandment (”let’s GET those rich people”), not about common sense economics.
They’ve realized the importance and truth of

Well, he’s definitely not a bible believing Christian.
Victoria Jackson skewers him well:

so he’’ll wait until the recession ends before he starts another one?
Obama is a Christian to the same extent as a guy sitting in his garage is a car.
The religion J Wright tought is NOT Christianity and the Jesus he led him to is NOT Jesus Christ the Son of God.
Zerobama only ‘accepted’ Wright’s Jesus because he thought it would gain him some votes each time he runs for some office or another.
Posing. Obama will not leave tax cuts in place. He is a liar.
Obama is flip-flopping like a fish out of water.
Maybe it’s because that’s what he is.
A Marxist fish beached on a Republican shore.
Taxing the rich isn’t about economic policy it is about the State punishing success.
Doesn’t this argument—tax cuts stimulate the economy so I’ll keep them for now—work against his long term economic plan to raise taxes.
He’s on FULL TILT!!! ROLFMAO!!!!
tought = taught
bump for later use...
Wait a few days and he’ll be on another tangent about our taxes.
Absolutely -
This is a complete ADMISSION that he recognizes his public political position is simply pandering and class warfare, and that he’s willing to hurt the economy with higher taxes in order to buy the votes of the gullible.
Higher tax rates HURT economic growth . Period .
Every where . Every time .
By conceding the Republican position that tax increases hurt the economy, Obama has basically conceded the economic issue (and the election).
Check out DU. They are using even more profanity than usual, all of it directed at Obama.
I’d say “The One” is rapidly becoming “The Zero”
