WASHINGTON — Democrat Barack Obama says he would delay rescinding President Bush’s tax cuts on wealthy Americans if he becomes the next president and the economy is in a recession, suggesting such an increase would further hurt the economy.

Your analysis would make sense if fiscal policy were about
a strong economy and tax revenue
and not about
“a matter of fairness”.

This is a complete ADMISSION that he recognizes his public political position is simply pandering and class warfare, and that he’s willing to hurt the economy with higher taxes in order to buy the votes of the gullible.
Higher tax rates HURT economic growth . Period .

By conceding the Republican position that tax increases hurt the economy, Obama has basically conceded the economic issue (and the election).
