Can't link directly.
You better believe it.
Polls are used to motivate and they sure as hell woke most of us up.
McCain, on the other hand, won or topped out nearly every one of his debates and is about the best political communiator out there.
Posted this to my small internal bloggy thing a few days ago:
The Daily Matt: Instant Response
(An Attempt at Insight in 100 Words or Less)
McCain is a dangerously good political communicator.
In 1997, I worked for Frank Luntz, spending hundreds of hours transcribing good parts of instant response tapes.
Instant response testing involves showing an audience video while they turn dials up (favorable) or down (unfavorable). This generates a composite line that overlays the final video, allowing you to see what moments moved the audience.
Consistently, John McCain outperformed every other politician and his tested material was all extemporaneous.
The media has led the public to expect the leg tingling One to win the Presidential debates easily, making McCains victory in them even sweeter.
-come unglued
-go apesh*t
-turn completely batsh*t crazy
Wait...they already do that.
AT the DUmp, they are too busy passing erroneous, old, or lying to each other about Gallups daily (6 Sep) is within 1 point to notice today's 3 point daily Gallup rolling poll or this "likely poll" that show Obama getting creamed.
How does one diffentiate that from any other day?
Anyone who watches his failed teleprompter speech or his "I can't hear myself" extended gaffe could NEVER pull the lever for Obama.
I haven't checked yet but every "Likely poll" in the last 2 months has shown Obama losing to McCain - like this one but not as large a spread.
Yikes!
This has always been the reality. We have met the challenge more often then we have failed.
Browns? Try being a Detroit Lions fan. They won exactly one playoff game in my lifetime and I’m in my 30’s.
“Likely poll” = likely voter poll ;-)
Yep, recently. Tell me that it didn’t cause a big pucker factor in 2000 and 2004.
I prefer Reagan landslides. (Then it’s sorta like a tailgate party. :>)
How will we be able to tell?
Given the insanity that prevails at DU and KosFreaks, maybe we should take up a collection to offer them free psychiatric assessments at the nearest local clinic. They're gong to need a lot of help......
These are the kinds of stories I've heard all week.
Heck, now with Palin, even I can vote for McCain with a clear conscience.
Im crossing my fingers until the updated state polls come out. Leading the national poll is great at this point but we need leads in states that matter.
That is the Libertarian Party’s wet dream. No chance it actually happens.
Over at DU, some are siting out of date polls and saying the GOP is excited over nothing because McCain hasn’t broke 43% yet.
Number one, she didn't come this far just to be the second in command behind B. Hussein. Secondly, I think that there is not enough room in the Executive Branch for two women like Hillary and Michelle.
Now, if they are actually thinking about replacing Obama with Hillary, forget it. African American voters will be so disillusioned and upset that they will stay home in droves and tip the election to McCain.
The Dems can't win without the African American vote. Hillary realizes this and it's the reason she didn't go "nuclear" against Obama. She was scared of the backlash.
Our friends over at DU need some MAYLOX at this point. LOL
...And, grandchild.
The scary question is: WWOD?
