New research shows that voters give female governors significantly higher marks than their male counterparts on such qualities as honesty, cooperation and caringas well as toughness. And at a time when the national debate has become poisonously partisan, governors like ... Palin, 43, are making their mark with a pragmatic, postpartisan approach to solving problems, a style that works especially well with the large numbers of independent voters in their respective states.
In Alaska, Palin is challenging the dominant, sometimes corrupting, role of oil companies in the state's political culture. "The public has put a lot of faith in us," says Palin [snip] "They're saying, 'Here's your shot, clean it up'." For Palin, that has meant tackling the cozy relationship between the state's political elite and the energy industry that provides 85 percent of Alaska's tax revenuesand distancing herself from fellow Republicans.

There is also a poster around here who scanned the Chicago Sun Times or The Tribune ( I can’t rememner) with them praising Sarah cleaning up Alaska’s corruption.
Someone needs to send these to the media (FOX, RUSH, or the McCain camp) ASAP! This is GREAT to show their bias.
Forgot to meantion the Chicago newspaper was from 2007 or early 2008 as well WHAT PHONIES!! Everyone needs to see this article.
. "What makes them formidable as candidates is experience as the chief law-enforcement officer for their state, a role that exudes strength. Which is always the question asked about a woman. 'Is she strong enough? Is she tough enough?' "
I have always found it funny that regardless of what dirty or questionable thing a Democrat does, the media always says it “was in the past” and not of consequence even it happened last hour.
BASICALLY, THE MSM WAS FOR HER BEFORE THEY WERE AGAINST HER.
Yes!
...Palin,... earns high marks from lawmakers on the other side of the aisle. During a debate earlier this year over a natural-gas bill, State Senate Minority Leader Beth Kerttula was astounded when she and another Democrat went to see the new governor to lay out their objections. "Not only did we get right in to see her," says Kerttula, "but she asked us back twicewe saw her three times in 10 hours, until we came up with a solution."
Interesting view.
Some women, like Palin, deliver on those expectations.
Some women, like Pelosi, don't deliver
One of the Chicago papers ran a story about the disgusting living conditions endured by Barack's poorest constituents who live in buildings Obama's cronies built.
Nothing but a bunch of whiners. If Obama's own brother can live in a hut on $12 a month, why should Obama's constituents complain?
BTTT.
Someone needs to pass this along to the McCain Camp to run with these quotes in an Ad..Can you imagine using real quotes from Newsweek, and The Chicago Sun Times (or Tribune)
I wonder if the original link still exists...
Palin Delivers!
Some women, like Palin, deliver on those expectations.
Some women, like Pelosi, don't deliver
I have been becoming concerned that "Palin" is distracting us from the critical domestic issue of this election, i.e. capitalism vs. socialism. Perhaps the "woman candidate" quote, and your Palin vs. Pelosi reply can help bring that issue back into focus. Might it be that Palin is so threatening because she represents a "capitalist" approach to women solving problems, as opposed to the "socialist" approach? Note Napolitano's quote in the article: "It's a very authentic role for women to do that kind of caretaking and say, 'I am going to look after your interests'". The danger to the socialists being that Palin represents, in image, action, and philosophy, the "individual".
Yes.
Thanks for providing the link to the original article, snarkytart!
