Fox assured Obama of fair coverage

While in Minnesota to attend the Republican National Convention, Ailes told The Washington Post he, Murdoch and Obama, a U.S. senator from Illinois, had a productive discussion three months ago in New York. He said Obama had expressed concerns about Fox News Channel's portrayal of him and his wife Michelle.

The newspaper said Ailes told Obama that while his network wouldn't be "in the tank" for him, he assured the nominee he would be treated fairly. In return, Obama has agreed to appear on "The O'Reilly Factor" Thursday, hosted by conservative commentator Bill O'Reilly

This is great. O’Reilly will bring up illegal immigration and OBAMA will be sunk with his own words. This is a stupid move to get independents. Who the heck is advising him? This shows he knows he is in a worse position than the polls show.

When asked the point when a human embryo achieves personhood, Obama said that the question is “above my pay grade”

That leads to a very important question that BOR should ask him:

“Just how much money WOULD it take for you to say when a human embryo achieves personhood?”

You don’t get it — Roger Ailes of old is NOT the Ailes of today. He won’t stand up for conservatives and look at who he has hired. They did a rope a dope on Fox News to draw in all of us and now throw us a bone from time to time.

Boycott FOX NEWS except for Greta!

I remember Michael Savage warning his audience that FoxNews would be in Hillary’s hip pocket. [Yawn.]

If a Republican nominee sat down with CBS News to discuss guidelines for CBS' coverage of him, the Left would have a field day and call CBS a GOP propaganda station - and rightly so.

FOX News' actions are thoroughly unjournalistic and a betrayal of their "fair and balanced" claim.

I thought O’Reilly was agreeing to making Bristol’s pregnacy an issue last night.

He needs to talk to Chris Wallace to see how to get Obama to go off the handle like Clinton did.

O'Reilly thinks that murdering unborn children is the best thing since sliced bread.

Even if FOX News management hadn't already guaranteed Obama softballs, O'Reilly would never raise an issue on which he and Obama are in complete agreement.

While McCain had more class in not upstaging Obambi's big night and his acceptance speech, by naming Palin as his VP choice, the "do/say anything to get elected" scumbag DhimmiRats, (and head Socialist, The Messiah) have so such scruples.

Worse yet (and for the most part I like him) is that FOX/O'Reilly would agree to have him on the same night?

I don't care how "tough" the questions are (and I'll believe it when I see it) this is just not right and I've let Fox and O'Reilly know about it.

While I have not read/heard anything about it, I would bet the farm that it was Barry's ultimatum that it either be on Thurs night or not at all?

The bottom line is that Fox sold out to get the worthless Obama interview.

It really sucks for O’Reilly to interview Obambi on Thursday.. when it is McCain’s night. I sent an email to BOR on this.

He doesn't care. . .he's an idiot.

Did O'Reilly interview McCain on the night Obama accepted the nomination? I doubt it, but then, I don't watch Billy.

Copy of the letter I just sent to O’Reilly:

Bill,

So you agreed to Obama’s demands to be on the same night that McCain speaks at the convention and to only ask softball questions.

What a pompous, self aggrandizing media whore you have become, always willing to take preconditions for the spot light.

What happened to “no spin”? You’ve been spun like a bucket of warm spit in a hurricane. Simply disgusting.

Perhaps you should take a look at a career with MSNBC. They share your value system.

My Name
Jacksonville, FL

If you had a pair, you would ask Obama:
1. Explain Michelle’s 160% raise that occurred between the time you were elected and the time you gave her employer a $1 million earmark.
2. Do you really think that running for President provides more experience than running a State, and doesn’t your campaign manager do that anyway?
3. What if anything do you find wrong with socialism?
4. Is it OK to kill a baby 30 minutes after it survives an abortion? Is it OK to kill that same baby 60 minutes before when it is still in the womb?

O'Reilly thinks that murdering unborn children is the best thing since sliced bread.

I'm not an O'Reilly fan, but where do you get that information? O'Reilly was the first show I ever saw Jill Stanek on--that was several years ago. He was so choked up about the Down's baby born alive during an abortion, he couldn't even speak for several seconds. He has also gone after Tiller the Baby Killer on many of his shows.

OK, where am I missing it?? Where has FOX said that they will treat Obama with kid gloves? All I see is that they said that they would treat him “fairly”. I remember how BOR interviewed the Red Cross and United Way heads after 9/11. He literally had them cowering in their seats. Why do you assume that he will throw only dustballs at Obama??

This came out about the same time Obama has decided to go on Fox. He has declined interviews for months. The ONLY logical conclusion (until proven otherwise) is that he was offered preconditions for doing so, as we all know he has never been asked tough questions on any show he has been on.

Intrusive on Obama’s part, ain’t it? (Saul Alinsky would be proud.)

He wants to try to inoculate him self a bit from the piling up of the Ayers news (and how it fits a radical/marxist pattern for Obama).

this explains the defending of Obama on fox and friends.

Obama has been given carte blanche for dirty tricks ala nixon and FNC has pledge a free pass.

every democrat palin attack is mentioned with Obama’s fake opinion to be off limits.

Re: O’Reilly thinks that murdering unborn children is the best thing since sliced bread.

Do you watch him at all???? I would guess not, as he has devoted many segments to Tiller the Baby Killer.

Ditto.

O’Reilly’s “hard-nosed”, “interview” of Hillary Clinton was a JOKE.

I will not even bother to watch him worship the Obamessiah.
