You could see this coming a mile away:
With Palin scheduled to speak tonight, the McCain campaign comes out swinging early -- attacking the media for unfair treatment of its nominee, and promising an ad that will say Palin is more qualified than Obama.
In one e-mail, the campaign castigates the New York Times for a (Tuesday) story reporting that Palin was a member of the splinter Alaska Independence Party in the 1990s, based on what turned out to be an erroneous statement by one of the party's leaders. The party has secessionist and Christianist links, according to various accounts. Palin's husband was a member according to Alaska voting records, but not Palin herself.
McCain: "What kind of operation are the editors at theTimes running?"
Also, Politico's Mike Allen this morning reprints a long McCain attack on media coverage hitting MSNBC, CNN and others, promising that the McCain campaign will launch a television ad directly comparing Governor Palins executive experience as a governor who oversees 24,000 state employees, 14 statewide cabinet agencies and a 10 billion dollar budget to Barack Obamas experience as a one-term junior Senator from Illinois and a forward-leaning effort to counter the shameless smears that have prevailed during Governor Palins introduction to the American voter.

After last night’s display, I have decided to do just that.
Lol!....Yep...they are TERRIFIED of Sarah Palin.
Christianist?
Yes. The McCain campaign has provided voter registration records showing Palin has never been registered as anything other than a Republican, and the AIP leader quoted by the NYT has said that she was mistaken when she spoke to the NYT.
I signed up, but they have to do away with that stupid graphic confirmation as part of the sign in process. It took me 4 tries trying to get the combination of numbers/letters right before I could log in. That’s a useless inhibition when you also have username/password confirmation. They should be making the site as user friendly as possible.
Sheesh!
To the elite, “Christian” and “Christianist” are pejoratives.
OF COURSE, if you believe in God, you’re not as intelligent as THEY are.
Good!
I thought they were the bald dudes selling flowers in the airports.
bttt
“... can you imagine the reaction to a 20 second ad with
Palins statement about their full support for their daughter, her marriage, and her family,
followed by Barrys punished with a baby speech?”
Someone NEEDS to do this. It would be AWESOME!
Ours vs. Theirs.
I am a “Christianist” and very proud of it. :-)
Agree 100%. I hope McCain has the guts to do that.
Yes. Look under Breaking News.
Oh, it WOULD be effective,
but I wouldn’t want to do it if it hurt the family.
However, I don’t see how it could be any worse than what the “professional” media have already done to them.
I want Newt to be the Press Secretary.
As I suspected, the McCain camp has set the qualifications and experience trap for the Obama-Stream-Media and they have taken the bait. I have yet to see any serious discussion of Palin vs. Biden in terms of qualifications - the commentary is always Palin vs. Obama. That is a big loser for Obama and he is about to have it rammed down his throat with the Palin speech tonight and the ads comparing Obama and Palin's qualifications.
Someone who is a hair short of being a radical Christianist.
