Anti-War Protesters Attack Conn. GOP Delegates Some Delegates Doused With Bleach-Like Substance; Rowdy Crowd Estimated At Between 2,000-10,000 ST. PAUL, Minn. (AP) ― Protesters attacked Connecticut delegates near the site of the Republican National Convention Monday in a demonstration where more than a dozen people were arrested by police using pepper spray amid window-smashing, bottle-throwing and tire-slashing.
It was a violent counterpoint to an otherwise peaceful anti-war march not far from the Xcel Energy Center convention site.
Many protesters involved in the more violent protest were clad in black and identified themselves to reporters as anarchists. They wrought havoc by damaging property and setting at least one fire. Most of the trouble was in pockets of a neighborhood near downtown, several blocks from where the convention was taking place.

If they aren’t going to take them down with lead, whihc is my personal preference, at least taser the freaks.
Annoy Your Friends!
Tell Your Neighbors!
Be The Life Of The Party!
(Operators are standing by)
Make them pay triple for the amount of damage they caused.
I know how to subdue these thugs...arrest them, and then give them a bath...also, delouse them, and cut their hair.
He sent in the National Guard.
What else would you like him to do?
How insane would you have to be to even want them in your neighborhood let alone want to be one of them?
Personally, I'm a pepper ball gun fan. Standoff, it hurts, and it is pretty effective at delivering the OC.
Where in the hell are the police??
Start busting some anarchist heads.
Who do you want as leaders America?
That's assault.
Simmons, state Republican party chairman Chris Healy and the other Connecticut delegates were checked by a hazardous materials team afterward.
Stratford delegate Fred Biebel, 83, also was checked by paramedics when he had trouble breathing after a protester snatched his credentials from his neck.
Oh. Attacking 83-year-olds. Nice

A life threatening assault should be countered with deadly force.
Civilized people have rules. Terrorists don’t, and they should be dealt with as such.
I’m sick of these people doing this kind of stuff and getting away with it. Those delegates are mothers, daughters, neighbors.
They know how to deal with this scum in Miami!
This sure isn’t freedom to express one’s feelings or thoughts. It’s criminal.
Arrest the thugs and send them up the river for a long, long time.
Tim controls the NG and the State Troopers. They were there. They did their jobs.
As much as we would love to see split anarchist skulls, that wouldn’t help. The response from these animals would prove fatal.
In the early days of communism, the Leninists actually believed anarchy as a basic tenant of communism. The belief was the workers would know what to do and produce. The communists believed managers were an extension of the bourgeois to control workers. After years of commune and factory failures, Stalin introduced a loyal highly paid elite to get farms and factories working. So much for anarchy as the basis of communism. Practical communism does not rely on anarchy. The anarchists apparently don't read beyond Marx.
Indeed. Freedom of speech ends at the end of your nose.
When they (the rioters) start spraying chemicals at law abiding citizens, start fires, and the rest of their antics, it's time for a serious response...
If the police will not act, it becomes our responsibility to defend ourselves and end the confrontation.
Deadly force is reasonable when being attacked by means of chemical weapons.
Cheers!
On Fox it showed a guy breaking a window, kept hitting it til it broke. They were tipping over trash cans whatever. Then they complain about police brutality. Glad they aren’t republicans.
Spraying an unknown substance? That’s a terrorist act. What is MN’s castle law? Seems like grounds to drop them in their tracks.
