I just watched the most amazing bit of TV in decades - I cannot wait to see the YouTube version of it. Wolf Ditzer (aka Blitzer) was hosting Gloria Berger, Bill Bennet, Donna Brazille an John King (I believe) on The Situation Room and were discussing young Bristol Palins (Governor Palins oldest daughter) pregnancy and her plans to have the baby and marry the father. At the center of this discussion was Barack Obamas call to keep the families (and these personal decisions) off limits. But what does CNN do? They air a woman reporter who ran to Alaska questioning the entire abstinence position of Governor Palin in light of her daughters pregnancy. It was pathetic.
Besides the Duh factor that abstinence works every time it is tried (pregnancies being proof of the opposite) Bill Bennet was rightfully outraged at CNN and Blitzer for bringing the Palin familys personal issues into the debate like this. Bennett was hammering Blitzer who did not want to concede CNN crossed the line.
John King was looking just stunned and as if he was going to get sick. He wanted nothing to do with the muck raking by CNN.

The way I see it, Palin doesn't try to hide nor does she announce the condition of her daughter. I'm actually glad that they put this very early so that we can have a good discussion about the issue before entering October.
Just look at Hunter and Edwards. Think she couldn't get birth control pills?
same here
He went mad and I actually thought that he could hit him.
no mention of Fowler but lets mention about a 17 year old who is pregnant, getting married keeping the child and the father is staying with her and never cheated on anyone and not using tax payers money
fed up of the media for this election, Blitzer was trying to get that woman to say something but she just said she asked around and no one is bothered and yet he still goes on about it
Weird.
Just weird that you would disclose that.
But now... feel free to run for office.
Back to the point. PALIN (AND MCCAIN) HID THE FACT THAT THE KID WAS PREGNANT.
They figured it was better to disclose that after the fact. And that my friend is a low-class political move on the part of McCain/Palin.
What kind of shi33 can be dug up about these sleazy reporters families. If their contention is that nominees families are fair game because they are in public view, then turn-about should be fair play. We’re talking about everything—jailed family members, out of wedlock kids, opening divorce documents, etc. I think this should mean war against the biased scumbags—let’s put them and their dirty little families under a microscope too.
Every thread some Clymer shows up...You’ve arrived , no others need apply.
Team Obama sure wouldn’t have their fingerprints on the talking points. Remember Obama said today that he would fire anyone in his camp that had anything to do with smearing the “teenage” girl.
The press is just pissed because the girl didn’t have a abortion...
FR Thread title....
Whose side are you on? Post 67 sounds like sour grapes from the opposition.
Who among us hasn't known for years that the MSM is the media arm of our enemies?
You know, there are a lot of Fathers out there too with teenage daughters. This just may not resonate with them either. Many men are very sensitive about their daughters.
Why do I get the odd feeling that CNN is peeking in the Governors windows....creepy.
If they were hiding the pregnancy the girl would have stayed in AK.
Good thing they sent a woman. A guy doing this is likely to wind up a grizzly/kodiak chewtoy.
When I announce my candidacy for the VP, then feel free to start dragging crap.
But sorry... even though I have plenty of crap in my life, I would disclose it FIRST! For McCain/Palin to bring this up after the selection is low-class.
Unfortunately, BEYOND THE PALE no longer applies to liberals and gutter journalism.
