I just watched the most amazing bit of TV in decades - I cannot wait to see the YouTube version of it. Wolf Ditzer (aka Blitzer) was hosting Gloria Berger, Bill Bennet, Donna Brazille an John King (I believe) on The Situation Room and were discussing young Bristol Palin’s (Governor Palin’s oldest daughter) pregnancy and her plans to have the baby and marry the father. At the center of this discussion was Barack Obama’s call to keep the families (and these personal decisions) off limits. But what does CNN do? They air a woman reporter who ran to Alaska questioning the entire abstinence position of Governor Palin in light of her daughter’s pregnancy. It was pathetic.
Besides the Duh factor that abstinence works every time it is tried (pregnancies being proof of the opposite) Bill Bennet was rightfully outraged at CNN and Blitzer for bringing the Palin family’s personal issues into the debate like this. Bennett was hammering Blitzer who did not want to concede CNN crossed the line.
John King was looking just stunned and as if he was going to get sick. He wanted nothing to do with the muck raking by CNN.

Sadly, I realized when FOX was pushing Rudy Guiliani - and then later, when they shut out Fred Thompson - I realized that FOX doesn't want a true conservative on the ticket. They are RINO all the way.
I’m sure they are just doing this to balance out all those stories they ran on Biden’s son being on his way to prison.

AJ got one thing wrong though. The reporterette in Alaska said she had flown up there to investigate the rumor that Sarah’s baby was really her daughters and said she found out the news that Sarah’s daughter was pregnant on the way there!

By the way, Bill Kristol ripped Mort a new one, telling him how thoroughly disgusted he was that Mort was trying to use a young woman [whom he [Mort] did not know] to try and make political points against abstinence.
Sometimes, Bill can be a clymer himself, but this time he was golden!

If you run for office, are you supposed to immediately announce everything about your children’s personal life? “Before we start, I just want to say that my daughter is having cramps the next 3 days, and my other daughter is interested in James at school but hasn’t told him yet. My son sometimes likes to jack off with a playboy magazine he thinks I don’t know about — but we did block his internet.
Also, my younger son still wets his bed, and sleeps with a blankie.
Tell me again, what parts of the child’s private life does a candidate have to expose before they give their acceptance speech?

I’m betting her daughter had real sex education in public school.
I’m also pretty certain her daughter did NOT practice Abstinence.
I suppose if her daughter gets a “B” in a course, that means we should teach it different because everybody should always learn ever lesson they are taught and should follow it perfectly.
Because we all know that no child who is properly taught sex education and given access to condoms EVER gets pregnant before marriage.
Given all those pregnant teenagers out there, you can be sure that Sarah Palin has a lot of empathic mothers out here in voting land.
The press and media ought to show a little class — for once — and back off.
I give Sarah Palin a lot of credit for not throwing her daughter under the bus. That’s something the libs wouldn’t understand.
