It was, more or less, an open secret. And everyone was saying the same thing: the governor's 17-year-old daughter is pregnant, the father is her boyfriend, and it's really nobody's business beyond that.
I happen to agree.

The thing many even on this board don't seem to understand is that being Christian doesn't keep us from messing up, but it defines and determines the actions we take once the consequences of our behaviors must be confronted. That is so well said that it warrants repeating.
We ain't perfect. But we try. And, when we screw up, we face the consequences.
Moreover, to hold the sins of the daughter against the mother seems to fly in the face of Jesus' teaching, doesn't it? Especially when the entire family's reaction to the situation has been to do "the right thing".
The Palins are entitled to be disappointed in their daughter. But she is facing the consequences of her actions -- as she should. And her family is rallying around her -- as they should.
How could anybody but the most narrow-minded bigot (or a liberal) have a problem with this?

Do you really believe he means it?
Look at his action against in unsealing the supposed “sealed’ divorce records of two of his past opponents. If he truly wanted his minions to stop he would not be saying anything, his words saying "stop" are really "keep it up we are causing damage!". I think it will all backfire on Obama in a big way.

I was just watching the panel on Brit Humes Special Report. Mort Kondracke was making a big deal about Sarah Palin advocating abstinence only, and that Alaska was getting money for abstinence programs, and that obviously, her own child didnt adhere to abstinence only. The fact is wether there is abstinence only or sex ed. young people engaging in pre-marriage sex are practicing fornication wether or not they suffer the outward consquences.
Liberals just want to sin and not pay the immediate consquence so they depense condoms and birth control pills. They think they are getting away with sin but God a perfect record keeper.

Wow, this is the first thing Barry has said that I actually agree with. I hope he is sincere, and he may be..... but, he has a bunch of lunatic, highly deranged followers who THRIVE on attacking any conservative for any reason. And the dirtier the attack the better. These loons will ignore him and his, surprisingly, correct words here. They will keep digging and distorting and outright lying about Sarah Palin and her family. As well as the rest of whoever it is they disagree with. It’s just the way they operate.

They think they are getting away with sinNever a good assumption for anyone to make.

Any real conservative would agree with me that this is a NON ISSUE, and if you’d care to settle that with a duel, I’m all for that too (but you’ll need to get the law changed so they won’t send me to jail for it eh).

All the MSM folks needed to know was that their leider, Obama himself, thinks of babies as a form of punishment.
They took their lead from him directly.

Time Magazine editors have been on the Hillery side for a long time.
They do not necessarily subscribe to Obamacide for print media.
I am glad they have taken this line.
Maybe there will be someone left in the Dem party after the Obama Fog dissipates, and Howard Dean is shown the door.

Saw a picture of the boyfriend. Not to be a dirty old lady, but seriously - what a hunk!

Well, Tuesday’s edition of the NY Daily News has his name and picture. No secret any more and the couple has been smeared over CNN and Fox blaming their mother for pushing abstinence instead of condoms. Hope it backfires bigtime.

It reminds me alot of the Bush twin days ,when the press was always on them. Not that their stupid actions didn’t deserve noting,it was just way overboard.

Tuesdays edition of the NY Daily News has his name and picture. No secret any more. . . . Yeah, I know. I didn't figure it would stay a secret very long.
I was surprised that there were actually several "Levi" possibilities to track down in the Wasilla area, at least four, with two or three real strong possibilites. Levi must have been a popular name up there 17-20 years ago.
And I'm glad Bristol is going to marry the Levi it is, who looks like he'll go somewhere in life, rather than the "runner-up" Levi, who looked a little like the guy in the "brother" picture. THAT Levi is a real loser!
To: CedarDave; linn37; autumnraine
THAT Levi is a real loser! I bet that kid (if he's sober) is surprised by all the hits his MySpace account got today!
To: Charles Henrickson
Wheres the picture? I want to see if she has her mothers good taste.

They say women marry their father. Well, in this case it's true. Hockey-playing Levi Johnston (it's public knowledge now) has that rugged, "hunky" look Bristol's dad has.
