ST. PAUL -- The 17-year-old daughter of Republican vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin is pregnant, Palin said on Monday in an announcement intended to knock down rumors by liberal bloggers that Palin faked her own pregnancy to cover up for her child.

So you have no real comeback huh?
You’re running out of gas. ‘bout time.
Might as well have fun:
“the media drive their wedges into the conservative base.’
There is no bigger driver of wedges into the Conservative base than McCain. He revels in it. I lament it. People attacking me as no Conservative because when the choice was McCain vs Romney I choose Romney. Now to disagree is one think but some of the a$$hats around here got personal without any discourse.
Now Rush, no friend of McCain, is coming to Palin’s defense:
“Sarah Palin is Clarence Thomas 2008.” — ElRushbo
Must be throwing an insult at Cindy.
I’m not saying adoption is bad. It is a wonderful thing to do when the mother does not want the baby.
If a family wants to keep the child and it is in a stable and loving home, to me, that is the best place for it.
Shows their true colors again - they say “ADMITS”, as if it’s something dirty amd SHAMEFUL to be pregnant...haven’t they spent YEARS telling us it’s OK for a young girl to be pregnant, at any age????
Their hypocrisy knows no bounds...
They’d be happier if she would have killed the baby. I won’t use the euphemism “abort” - it’s murder...
I’m tired of them. Bring on their little revolution, so we can be FINISHED with them.
Are you saying that Sarah Palin and John McCain have no values, no morals, no ethics?
Sorry!
I think it speaks DIRECTLY to family values by how they have handled it....and I applaud the Palins. I remember being 17 and I had values...I also had hormones and poor judgement for a lot of things I did. This just makes this family more real.
I have much more “family value” issues with a fifty-something man who screws around on his dying wife.....
Elections are won by whichever side has the turnout on election day. Gov. Palin definitely energizes the base. Having the MSM dump on her and her children only riles up the base more.
I’m saying that just because the mother wants the baby, that does not always make it the best choice, especially if the birth parents are very young and unmarried. Sometimes we have to give up what we want for what is right.
>Ive seen the boys myspace page. He seems like he will resent giving up his hockey dreams and his nights with the guys.<
You have? Link please. Is this kid’s name Chris, or is it Levi?
She's also one very tough lady. I have great hope that she & her family will come through these assaults from both sides just fine. Those attacking them are beginning to embarrass themselves. I hope it blows up in their faces.
I'm certainly looking forward to her debate with Biden.
"An adoptive couple IS family."
"The love and care you give a child is what makes you a parent, not sperm and egg."
You havent been reading my posts on this thread and many others.
Im solidly supportive of Bristols decision to raise the baby. Im proud of the 2 for their decision to firm up their commitment to one another in public marriage. My prayers are with them as they grow together.

My apologies because it must have seemed I rabid and ripping you. Not the case. There are others on this thread who have tore the Palins apart. My disgust is with those posts. I understand your comments and will meditate on them. I’m glad to hear that the base is continuing to rally and support McCain/Palin over the unmitigated disaster that Barak Obama guarentees.
I’m humbly rebuked.
Exactly. And YOU don't know what is right for their child and their family. Only they do.
No rebuke intended. I’ve enjoyed your posts.
