ST. PAUL -- The 17-year-old daughter of Republican vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin is pregnant, Palin said on Monday in an announcement intended to knock down rumors by liberal bloggers that Palin faked her own pregnancy to cover up for her child.

Actuallly i see this a big plus
If they attack the kid, which you know they will. They are attacking every person who was forced into a marriage or had a child out of wedlock. As many know people who have abortions in this situation are so remorseful for it. its a decision that haunts them their whole life. So attack and keep attacking...they will alinate so many in the middle. Frankly i’m learning that McCain is very very politically savvy something that i’m very suprised about.
I think if they attack this will really really work against them with. Attacking a kid, attacking a single mom, attacking a teen mom. and attacking someone who stood up and kept their baby. there are many in the middle that this will reach..the problem is they don’t get it. The left does not understand middle america and this only highlights it.

Its really worse than that. According to the timeline he moronically subscribes to, Sarah would hae had to gotten pregnant BEFORE she gave birth less than 5 months ago

Palin should quit the VP thing and try to get her family squared away. Hey MCCain, go ahead close your eyes and pick somebody else. May I suggest VP Cheney’s daughter, oh wait even she had a baby wow.
Maybe it doesn’t really matter anymore.
I see the real issue of this being that a presidential candidate (DEMOCRAT) and his surrogates are digging into and trying to destroy a competitor via their very private life and their children. Someone that they can’t refute in the arena of ideas.
They are panicked by Mrs. Palin even though Obama debates are with McCain - who will wipe the floor with the lightweight.
Voters, activists, political junkies, and assorted left-wing know-nothings will always have their comments and critiques.
But the true issue, for me, is that a political candidate afraid of true debate and competition has AGAIN attempted to use someone’s personal life to discredit and destroy them - and remove them from the field of competition. All the while, he wants no discussion of his associations, family, and lack of experience.
God Bless Bristol for choosing life and her family for supporting her so lovingly.

Family values doesnt mean that kids dont make mistakes. She did pass on her values, Bristol is getting married and KEEPING the baby. She is owning up to her mistake and making things right and the family is supporting her. Liberals think that when we have morals that we can be crucified when we make mistakes. The difference between morality and immorality is we dont cover up one mistake with another (ie an abortion).

Obama is ruthless enough that he would have locked the daughter up until an abortionist could make a house call. She would not have been given a choice.

Apparently you do care. And judging from the harsh reactions I’m getting from my being shocked at this unhappy news, I’m also guessing you (and many others) are glad this happened.
