Joe Biden has been making much of having spent the first ten years of his life in Scranton, Pennsylvania to the extent that his first video ad is based on that city. So when Biden and Barack Obama made their first campaign appearance after the Democrat convention in Beaver, Pennsylvania, the subject of Scranton came up in Biden's speech. The problem is that he did some fibbing about Scranton. Biden claimed that he was 12 years younger than former PA governor, Bob Casey, and 12 years older than "Bobby" Casey, the son and current senator from that state. Actually Biden is only 10 years younger than the elder Casey, a minor error, but eighteen years older than "Bobby" Casey, not so minor. Even more important, Biden mentioned that he lived only a few blocks away from the Caseys. Since the Biden family moved to Delaware when Joe was 10 that would have been in 1952 or 1953, several years before "Bobby" was born in 1960. I wonder what Obama was thinking during that speech. Joe Biden is so far away from Obama’s carefully groomed image.
To summarize: Biden’s story is a blatant lie.

Maybe he got his family history mixed up with someone else's, like he did in his famous stump speech in 1988.( Biden said he was the son of a Welsh coal miner.)

Wow. Every Liberal Democrat who espouses “more for the poor” seems to be wealthy via public contracts, pork, lobbyists and graft...
Obama and Biden are crooks, plain and simple, bent on pushing us to Communism, which, of course, they will be part of the elite ruling party.

People that live in western PA don’t give a chit about Scranton, who lived there or anything else about eastern PA. I spent 40 yrs living there, I know!

Biden scrammed from Scranton years ago. Big deal! Pa. was small potatoes compared to the thriving megatropolises of Delaware.
