Chicago Public Radio presented an article not calling an alien an alien and got called on it. Now, they have this poll and want to know what the public thinks.

"We reported this week about a family that asked for an independent autopsy to rule out medical negligence in the death of a relative whom we identified as an undocumented Mexican immigrant. Our story led to a call from a listener in west suburban Oak Park who said its wrong to identify people as undocumented if they lack legal status to be in the United States. The fitting term, she said, is illegal. This topic has come up before and warrants a poll among our listeners/visitors (below)."
Illegal alien (88%, 996 Votes)
Undocumented immigrant (7%, 83 Votes)
Illegal immigrant (5%, 57 Votes)

HA! You got it right!

Voted and BTTT. Yep, I just loved the comment section.
Does crimmigrant sound too mean?
Excellent comparison!!!!! I have to remember your saying!!
You still can’t lay off the McCain bashing even after he picked a conservative for running mate. You people are extremists.
What would you have me do, bow down and worship him?
Per your logic, if Obama had picked a conservative running mate, maybe we should stop bashing him too.
Just because McCain picked a conservative running mate doesn't automatically mean he is a conservative too.
You people are extremists.
And how am I an extremist? For pointing out his funny liberal word games and attempts to guilt trip folks into supporting his liberal pipe dreams?
We have just a little over two months before the next President of the United States is elected and there is no time for your constant harping against our nominee. It will only serve to weaken our cause and strengthen the Dems.
"Our" nominee? What makes you so sure that I'm a Republican?
I will feel free to harp against any liberal, especially the Republican and Democrat presidential candidates.

I dont blame anyone for wanting to come to this country and make a better life for themselves and their family. HOWEVER, I do blame those who come here illegally for breaking our law. That is a bad start.
If those other countries are so great, why are their people leaving and coming here? I would be perfectly happy if we simply mirror the laws of the other countries in relation to immigration. For example, if you are from Mexico, and you want to immigrate legally to the US, you should need to meet the laws of Mexico in relation to moving there legally from the US.
You would need a sponsor, and guaranteed job, etc. If you dont have those, and overstay, you wind up in a Mexican prison in Mexico, so why expect differently if you come here?.

Calling an illegal alien an undocumented immigrant is like calling an drug dealer an unlicensed pharmacist.
Great analogy!

Public radio is really politico progressive liberal and it employs meaningless sloupy double-speak like this.
no one is an immigrant UNLESS they come here legally, otherwise they are an ‘alien’.
no one is an immigrant UNLESS they come here legally, otherwise they are an alien.
