I have watched excitement among professional, mature, experienced women turn into red hot anger as male Obama apologists try and claim Palins experience to be Commander-in-Chief (more elected years in office, more executive years in office, years commanding troops, years running a business) is less than Obamas community organization and speech making. These arrogant males are trying to raise the bar for Palin while lowering it for Obama is pissing women off no end.
This, gents, is why women want to break the glass ceiling and bury this crap once and for all. And the more the media and men (left and right, btw) set up two tracks on experience which is completely tilted for Obama - and it is mostly men tilting the track - the more women will throw party allegiance away and realize they can end the millennia of the superior male.
I like our moose-burger eating, gun-toting, business leading woman, mother of 5, Governor of Alaska (while pregnant) VP. The Barracuda and the Maverick will take on the Messiah and the Mouth - and win.
Update: The sick brother-in-law being investigated for driving his squad car while drunk, killing a moose on duty for fun, and possibly abusing the Governors nephew is not going to rally women. Women all have a story of the shunned asshole guy who tried to make life hell for them in an act of petty revenge. And the charge of tasering his child makes contact by the aunt and uncle with police very legitimate. I dont think I have ever been as disgusted with American politics and news media as I have been today.
Now if that's the case, Harold Stassen is THE most 'experienced' person who ever ran for POTUS.
Palin brings out the cornered Rat in male journalists, and unbelievably, some Pink female journalists!
The VP debates are going to be interesting, considering Palin knows how to gut a pig.
What breaks me up is the claim that this is an affirmative action choice. If Sarah was a man she would be no-brainer this year. She's an outsider who nobody in Washington knows. She took on corruption and beat a very dirty establishment led by her own party as a huge underdog. She is very popular among those who know her. She has a good resume.
In fairness, the experience issue is the only attack they can make against her that is quasi-reasonable. The problem for them, of course, is that she is still a lot more experienced than the guy heading their ticket, a Washington denizen whose big issue is "change".
But yeah, most of those opposing Sarah are doing it because of old-fashioned sexism.
BTTT Dittos!
Here’s a link to men behaving well—Mr. Todd Palin, husband and great guy.

Yeah, I know it’s “wikipedia”, but I’m still impressed.
Politically she's an independent and generally leans Democrat - she definitely hates the President and badmouths me him constantly.
She was pretty excited about Obama and was not a big Hillary Clinton fan.
When Palin was nominated, she was impressed - though not convinced by the McCain campaign as a whole.
But she is now enraged by the attacks on Palin - specifically the attacks that imply that she is a neglectful mom for being in politics, and the attacks saying that she is inexperienced.
She told my friend that she considers these negative comments about a working mom to be a personal insult and that Obama people criticizing Palin for lack of experience is hypocritical (probably because she herself defended Obama's lack of experience previously).
She went from being a soft Obama supporter to a McCain leaner basically overnight.
The left is handling this announcement with complete incompetence.

U.S. Representative, Heather Wilson, On The Selection Of Gov. Sarah Palin
Heather: You know, Governor Palin has more executive experience than Senator Obama, Senator Biden, and Senator Schumer combined because those guys have never run anything. So I find that quite amusing.
I was very disappointed with Senator Obamas choice of a running-mate. He chose somebody else whos a Washington insider from the East Coast who knows nothing about the west and Senator McCain surely does. Im also very pleased that hes chosen as his vice president, the chief executive of the oil producing state in America, strong energy credentials and the energy issue is very important to Americans.
Bravo Zulu Heather! Sarah Palin has more executive experience than Snowbami, Biden, Pelosi, Reid, Boxer and most of the rats in congress combined.
I haven’t seen much from the McCain bashers on FR since this pick. Have they changed their tune?
>>>>These arrogant males are trying to raise the bar for Palin while lowering it for Obama <<<<
My mom used to say two things,
1. Women must do twice as much as men to receive half as much credit.
2. Fortunately, this is not hard to do.
She and Obama are even in the same ball park. LOL
She is sooooo much of a leader. You can see it.
It's always the Left that seeks to categorize: The first Black.. the first Woman.
How about the best person-- gender and race regardless-- for the job?
Why won't they see that voting for someone because of their skin color is as racist as voting against someone for the same reason?
Good grief. That is simultaneously one of the most laughable and one of the most absurd things I’ve ever heard of. Kondracke had a straight face during this?
No. McCain has changed his.
She seems fresh, vivacious, clean..... none of the stale arrogance and cynicism that clings to so many of those who make their living within the beltway.
This quality can't be created, it just is.
He sure did have a straight face. And the look Brit gave him was priceless, he didn't have say a thing, when the the camera cut to him, it said it all.
And Mort's buddy, Fred Barnes gave Mort a 'Come on, are you serious' retort. Ijit Mort stuck by his guns, though after a while he was hanging his head like, 'oh boy I stepped in it now'.
“I think perhaps her most important and salable quality is the projection of reality, not synthetic, lacking the veneer or possibly stain of political professionalism.
She seems fresh, vivacious, clean..... none of the stale arrogance and cynicism that clings to so many of those who make their living within the beltway.
This quality can’t be created, it just is.”
I agree, like with Maggie Thatcher and Ronald Reagan.
“The Barracuda and the Maverick will take on the Messiah and the Mouth - and win.”
Barracuda/Maverick vs. messiah/Mouth
Fabulous Bumper Sticker!!!
She’s an All-American mom, with more executive experience than Obama.
