I have watched excitement among professional, mature, experienced women turn into red hot anger as male Obama apologists try and claim Palin’s experience to be Commander-in-Chief (more elected years in office, more executive years in office, years commanding troops, years running a business) is less than Obama’s community organization and speech making. These arrogant males are trying to raise the bar for Palin while lowering it for Obama is pissing women off no end.
This, gents, is why women want to break the glass ceiling and bury this crap once and for all. And the more the media and men (left and right, btw) set up two tracks on experience which is completely tilted for Obama - and it is mostly men tilting the track - the more women will throw party allegiance away and realize they can end the millennia of the ’superior male’.
I like our moose-burger eating, gun-toting, business leading woman, mother of 5, Governor of Alaska (while pregnant) VP. The Barracuda and the Maverick will take on the Messiah and the Mouth - and win.
Update: The sick brother-in-law being investigated for driving his squad car while drunk, killing a moose on duty for fun, and possibly abusing the Governor’s nephew is not going to rally women. Women all have a story of the shunned asshole guy who tried to make life hell for them in an act of petty revenge. And the charge of tasering his child makes contact by the aunt and uncle with police very legitimate. I don’t think I have ever been as disgusted with American politics and news media as I have been today.

Me neither. I was going to vote for McCain/XYZ. But many of us have turned from grim, resolute, dutiful Republicans, pulling for McCain to stop an ObamaNation, to happy, hopeful, excited Republicans, pulling for McCain/Palin to start rebuilding and laying the path for future conservative Republican governance.
Biden specializes in making nasty, belittling comments about people he doesn't like. If he were debating Romney or Pawlenty, those kind of nasty little asides might win him points.
When Biden is debating the attractive, sympathetic mother of a disabled child - well his usual tactics will just reveal him to be the rectal aperture he is and will lose him points.
So much for style.
On substance, Biden loves to hear himself talk and will try to show off by discussing obscure minutiae that send the rank-and-file undecided voter to sleep. Palin will be able to speak directly from her own experience as a working mother and from her husband's experience as a blue collar worker.
She kills him on substance, on style and on appearance.
The GOP has two good matchups in a debate format: Biden unable to be nasty, Obama unable to repeat vague, memorized platitudes.

Substitute “Socialist” and “socialism” or Communist and Communism, because that’s what they really are.
Also - check out a book called “Masters of Deceit” by J. Edgar Hoover. He had been infiltrating and shutting down communist cells in America since the 1920s.
He speaks a great deal about the fact that Commies are Commies FIRST and FOREMOST, and everything else second.
They’re not doing anything except being who they have always been...only the euphemism has changed. Now, they call themselves “Demcrats” so they can fool those who aren’t paying attention, or who haven’t been taught who/what they really are.
A lot of people have NO clue what “Left” and Right-wing” mean, other than the standard Drive-by Media definitions (i.e., the Right is nothing but “gun nuts”, “Christian Fundamentalists”, etc. and the Left is GOOD, COMPASSIONATE, CARING, etc...)
It’s the pathetic state of our educational system, whereby we let the socialists get control of teaching future generations.

John McCain is a warrior and war hero.
Joe Biden and Barack Obama are life-long practitioners of politics. They have no diversity in the American experience outside politics.

That may have been my first exposure to the notion, but recent personal experiences have really driven it home.

I realize that, I have heard it for years. What I am saying is that it is a cliched joke that once was grounded in truth as far as I am concerned but I don’t think it really applies today.

Women, being the majority of registered voters now, determine the outcome of every election. For many years I have asked women why we have not had a woman president yet. Nobody ever came up with what I consider the only sensible answer, because women have not wanted a woman president. I have always said that when women want a woman in the whitehouse it will happen. That time appears to be approaching. It may only serve to teach us that women are not perfect either but it seems to be coming.
