Barack Obama - a man who has bewitched voters with his smile, enchanted youth with the novelty of his candidacyAnd yet he can't break 50%--and is doing even worse with white voters.
Obama is doing well, but he isn't this phenom the press seems to think he is.

Even better, Palin carries a gun! She hunts! I'll bet she can skin and process a deer in under 10 minutes. Take that al-Qaida! Heh, heh, heh.....

Let’s not forget, McCain has said he will only serve one term. I think I would vote for Palin 2012. And we need someone strong against Hillary 2012.

America's infatuation with Barack Obama
Uh huh. That infatuation is rapidly becoming a painful chancre as more and more people are beginning to realize that he's nothing more than a political STD.

Yesterday when I was watching the broadcast of McCain's selection of Palin, I kept thinking, “I'm looking at the woman who will be the first woman president of the US.”
Let's hope she and they live up to our “hopes” of building a strong, sovereign nation free of socialism and unnecessary dependencies on foreign nations that hate us.

They are already sending out the attack dogs:
-
Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin would make a "pretty fragile" president, Wisconsin Lt. Gov. Barbara Lawton said Friday as politicians trotted out their talking points on Republican presidential hopeful John McCain's surprise vice presidential pick. In a conference call with reporters, Lawton, a Democrat, said she was taken aback by the choice.

Hey, I like that comment. It’s going to be my tagline (with a slight modification).

Here's yours Nanette.
And a small correction.
Alaska is a nice contrast to Obama's Hawaiian Barry's Indonesian roots.

The dems are shooting themselves in the foot as they always do, by criticizing her for the things that most of us are about.
Perhaps this will be a good time for conservatives to point out the hypocrisy of the party that says it’s about choice and is condemning her for making hers.
Which says it’s about women’s rights and working moms and condemns her for doing what they promote. *The little lady should be staying home with her children. How could she ignore them like that to become VP?*

That shows voters she's for real and can actually relate to the lives of real voters, people who love, feel and suffer.
I spoke with my "liberal" brother last night from Fairbanks, Alaska. The people there as a majority love the job Mrs. Palin has done for the state.
The fact that my brother actually voted for her says to me even nutty left-wingers find her appealing as a candidate.

The selection of Palin is a good try...but unless Obama fumbles badly during the debates this election is over.
Barry owns “change”...and people want change. As long as Obama does not have to define his “change”, and the media shows no signs of making him do so...he will win.
Sad but true.

Lets not forget, McCain has said he will only serve one term. I think I would vote for Palin 2012. And we need someone strong against Hillary 2012. This is THE reason I will now vote for McCain.
And this author has not even touched on the best reasons Palin makes the ideal candidate: she's honest; she's a reformer who gets the job done; she's way outside D.C.; she's an American woman: a mother of five who chose LIFE and who thinks her husband is the most wonderful man she knows; she's a born administrator; she lives core American principles; she has a servant's heart.
Hillary will stand no chance against her.
