As a participant in the South East Asia War Games My concerns then were much more basic than entertainment. By the time I got back to "the world," the music had died in a drug induced stupor.

It should be over for anyone who heard his acceptance speech! I watched the whole thing and it was absurd beyond belief and I don’t know why more people aren’t calling it absurd. He recycled every cliche we have heard from the Rats for fifty years plus he made promises that only God Almighty could fulfill. Did anyone else hear him say that he would defeat climate change? Scientists tell us that the climate has done nothing but change as long as there has been a climate but he is going to stop that nonsense! Not only that but he is going to defeat disease, poverty, hunger etc. etc. Oh, did I mention he will make us independent of foreign oil in ten years which is two years after he is barred from serving any longer? Either he really thinks he is God or he has America pegged as a nation of idiots. Judging from some of the praise he got for that speech he is right about a lot of us!
