Of all the criticisms an apparently panicky Dem party has heaped on Sarah Palin in the hours since her selection was announced, Keith Boykin [bio] has come up with perhaps the unseemliest. The former aide to President Clinton has accused Palin of being an "affirmative action" pick.
Boykin, a graduate of Dartmouth and Harvard Law, was debating the selection with Republican Joe Watkins at the end of MSNBC's 4 PM EDT hour. After some preliminary jousting, Boykin dropped his bomb.
KEITH BOYKIN Let me just say something about this choice. The reason why she doesn't help, quite frankly, is because it's an insult. It's an insult to women. I spoke to several women today at the Democratic National Convention who said it's insulting John McCain would pick somebodyan affirmative-action candidate basicallywho is not qualified.

Boykin, you would be wise to look at your pick. If ever there was an affirmative action pick, it is Obama. You live in another world. Come to earth and wake-up to reality.
What an “interesting” character to be spouting about “affirmative action”... And his lord Obama - the ultimate example of affirmative action in progress...
The subconscious will inconveniently blurt out what you *really* think no matter how hard you may try to keep it bottled up.
He got shook up and his cap just popped off.
O, Bummer.
:)
Of course that is what they would say. They have no idea of what she has accomplished as a woman in an executive position. Just because she has an R by her name she must not be qualified. But don't dare consider Obama to be lacking in any way. All mouth, no muscle on their ticket. Obama managed to get to the top of the Dem ticket without any meaningful accomplishments.
There's already posts on Dem forums that say she should have “gotten rid of the tissue and had a full life”, so yes, they -will- be that soulless, eventually.
Why do I think of “Priscilla; Queen of the Desert” when I see him?
It's nice to see Dave Chappelle back on TV.
THis points out one of the major problems with affirmative action, and is soemthing that Clarence Thomas has discussed at length...
In this world of quotas, every individual who is from a favored minority group and who succeeds or excels is assumed to have been “given” what they have accomplished rather than having “earned” it. For those who accomplished the task based on their own hard work and intellect, this is an unfair stigma.
It is disgusting to see this argument used by those who are pro-Quota...
Newsflash: Barrack and Michelle Obama have been riding the affirmative action gravy train their whole lives.
The former aide to President Clinton has accused Palin of being an “affirmative action” pick.
They grow their leftists stupid at Darmouth and Harvard these days.
If I recall correctly Hussain was a Law review editor affirmative action pick who never even contributed to the journal
Cheers!
