I did a little lurking at hillaryclintonforum.com. 99% are pro McCain now. They know Palin is pro-life. But they are feminists first and hate Obama for stealing Hillary’s earned (in their opinion) right. The inexperienced good looking man was promoted over the hard-working, sacrificing woman. Those people are bitter. They are not one issue voters.
They are going to hose Obama. The great thing is that some will learn that the Conservatives treat their women better than the Rats. Those women will never go back to the Rats.
The phenomenon is a little like what we saw with conservative blacks supporting Obama. The historical impact of his nomination was just too meaningful for them to ignore. The call on these PUMA’s by Palin being on the ticket will be too strong to resist.
And not just them. McCain has just given a 10,000 volt charge to his base!
The beauty of this is that the D’s have to attack a woman now and not just any woman. They’re already doing it. They’re driving the spear in deeper all by themselves. This VP pick is gonna cause them no end of problems. I love it.
The DUmmies think everyone thinks like them and so they think Palin is a terrible choice. They are such egotists.
Here's an example:

Ferraro is nuts, but we knew that already. Any Hillary supporters who vote for McCain will be doing so because pissed off at Obama and the Democratic Party for not making Hillary the Presidential nominee, and then not even giving her the VP spot as a consolation prize. Having Palin on the ticket is likely to make some of them who would have voted for McCain stay home altogether.
The Left is in a heavy trash day mode today.
But will they either be able to significantly tarnish her as we enter into a 3 day weekend or sustain the attacks from now until election day?
And they seems to be sending more women out than men to attack Palin.
That was my initial reaction, too. But there will be a lot of hard work to do before November. One things for sure, her history sure will make for some pleasant election videos as John McCain introduces her to the general population.
That’s what I was thinking too. You also have to consider a percentage who just won’t vote, period. Can’t vote for Barack, won’t allow themselves to vote for McCain/Palin.
I do wonder what they will do with that. It will be an insight into the grip abortion may or may not still have on that part of the Rat base.
You might have something there. Ferraro got treated pretty badly herself during this campaign.
Palin is very strongly for drilling in ANWR. I read that she said on a talk show yesterday that she was working on McCain on that and that he was listening with an open mind.
And they seems to be sending more women out than men to attack Palin.
Certainly don’t want to let their sexism show now, do they?
“I wonder who she will be voting for?”
McCain/Palin, the same as Bill and Hillary!
Now that’s a good analysis.
And, if Palin stays on track, she’s looking good as a candidate 8 (or 4) years from now. An awful lot could happen between now and then, but at least that’s not a dead-end from the gitgo.
I just talked to my conservative, thirty year old daughter. She was voting for McCain with ambivalence. Now it’s enthusiasm.
