Paragraphs are our friends, the keepth us from confusing who said what.
Dick Cheney is the reason dubyah never got impeached (I was in the habit of pulling up beside idjits with Impeach Bush bumper stickers and complementing them. When they'd 'right on!' me I'd blandly say 'Yeah! I think Cheney'd make a fine president, too!' In response to their horrified look, I'd even more blandly say 'Well, if you impeach Bush, you get Cheney. Don't you liberals ever think through the consequences of any of your actions???')
Reagan? One of a kind. I do note that 'Read my lips' Bush was a one-termer, though...
Still, I should have said virtually every president

Just another ignorant blog thinking they are the center of the universe.

I don't know your age but I've been voting for conservative candidates for over 25 years. And for most of this time I've been losing. Why? Because I began to notice that most of the people around me aren't conservative. I'm saddened by this but I don't know what to do about it. There are many reasons for this; the public (government) schools, the news media, hollywood, immigration (probably the greatest), low birthrates among true conservatives. I could go on but it would take a book to do justice to this cause. What I'm amazed by is how many of the people who describe themselves as conservatives see themselves as the majority. They probably hang out with people of there own persuasion and therefore have the belief that most people are conservative. THEY AREN'T. Of this much I'm sure. I wish it wasn't true but it is. Deal with it. If we are to have any future at all, we will have to make deals and alliances with moderates. On the issue of abortion we will need to fight a culture war and not a political war. Yes I'm pro life but I'm not dumb enough to think that because I'm pro life everyone around me is also. This is what distinguishes me from the knuckle dragging conservatives who are large in number on this site.

He has weakened his case for wisdom and experience, and elevated a one-term governor of a small-population state based on her gender. For those not so knowledgeable on the Palin subject she defeated an incumbent Republican Governor in the primaries.

I know I’m not a rarity. I hope I’m rare enough though that we won’t be putting Obama into office. I fear that is the case though.

She is from a small state(population) which is completely different from most if not all of the lower 48. It would be like taking a pitcher from the most minor of the minor leagues and put them in Game 7 of the World Series. The Democrats will pound on this theme don't you know. Pound on what theme? She's got more experience running things than anyone on either side of the ticket. Joe Biden's state has about the same population, and fraction of the size and complexity, and Joe's never even run it. He represents Delaware by talking, chairing committees, and talking about how the committee session went. Amazing qualification, there, although to his credit he's done it for 35 years longer than the guy at the top of the ticket.
I repeat for all you knuckle draggers. You are 15% of the Voting Population. Most people don't think as you do. This is why you lose elections.
Are you sure you're on the right website? This is an interesting selection of vocabulary for a life long conservapublican whatever you said you were.
The VP pick should overwhelmingly be picked for the person who could step in for the president if God forbid something should happen to the president.
Joe Biden? Barack Obama?
Palin's head is screwed on straight, she's got the right views. What *really* is Plugs Biden is razor sharp spring loaded to do that she's not? Senators *do not have executive experience*. You can laugh at the fact that she was a mayor or a governor, but that's 100% more applicable to being President than being a professional committe member.

More sour grapes from disgruntled Romney fans. He was probably the most qualified candidate from either party, if the presidency was an appointed position. But as a politician he spent 60 milion dollars and went nowhere. He simply did not connect, with me or most anybody else. He would have been a net drag on the ticket.
I think the reactions to Palin, across the board, from conservative delight and hilaryvoters excitement, to the fuming hatred and rage of the Obama-'rat crime family, says she is a brilliant pick.

You are full of it. I got the county print outs from my state. We had double the votes then we had registered republicans.
THAT is the RNC’s base apparently. So let them embrace them.

Teh other advantage she has is that she comes from a state that is just about as far away from Washington D.C. as you can get in this country.
Don't overlook the "non-traditional" aspect of this. The strength of a candidate who is seen as an outsider will be enormous in this election . . . in a year when approval ratings for just about everyone in Washington D.C. are in the toilet.

With competent and proven individuals waiting in the wings such as Governor Mitt Romney, the selection of Sarah Palin is a most unfortunate choice.
You're bumping this MittWitt?
I think the choice of Palin was inspired, frankly. I didn't think McCain had it in him.

Sarah was a tactile choice.
Either the above is a Freudian slip revealing your lustful feelings towards the woman, or you actually meant tactical choice.
BTW - I DO care about the souls of Mormons. That is one reason why I didnt want a Mormon elected to high office. It is spurious and insidious and damns those that partake of it.
It's NO Freudian slip. Sarah is a tactile choice!
It's OBVIOUS.
He wanted a woman. He's capitalizing on gender identity.
Hitlery is pissed. Hitlery supporters are pissed. Many don't like Obama. Alaska has oil etc. Had it been a male with these positions he would have been passed over.
“BTW - I DO care about the souls of Mormons. That is one reason why I didnt want a Mormon elected to high office. It is spurious and insidious and damns those that partake of it.”
LOL!
No, it is because he is a Mormon and you are wrong on his positions. If you cared “about his soul” you would never want to be identified with a group that obviously doesn't see Mitt as worthy of prayer - just worthy of being shunned because of his religion. You're not fooling anyone no matter how piously you want to spin it.
Your own words condemn you - "spurious and insidious and damns those that partake of it." That sure isn't "love talk". It's shunning. It's self righteous. It's pious nonsense. You can't conceal your HATRED for him and his religion. Your hatred is so intense that you can't see straight let alone come back with a response that conceals your hypocrisy. I'm so glad Christ isn't like you.
I also don't want a humanist pretending to be a “Christian”, as in HUckabee being in politics. I now have a low opinion of Dobson. Yes, Dobson is sly. He waited till AFTER Mitt withdrew to throw his support to the lying Huckster. You see, many of us do our research on candidates and the Huckster is just only anti- abortion other than that he is lives the same politics as any other Demoncrat. Huck has a track record of THAT to stand on.

Youve been here less than a year and you know all about politics? Start a blog.
I've been here less than a year but I've been active in Politics for about 30. I was a true Milton Friedman economic conservative since the mid 1970's. I'm a lifelong National Review guy as well. I've worked on the political campaigns of conservative canditates. I've never voted for a Democrat. I would rather die than vote for any liberal. But after such a long time losing I had to face reality that conservatives, true paleo conservatives simply are not a majority. I wish it wasn't true but I have to face reality. I'm not delusional enought to believe that what I believe is also the opinion of others. This is what distinguishes me from many on this site. I've been slammed for the the truth hence my tag name. You will also see by Tagline Good intentions are not enough. This is why we are losing. Government continues to grow at every level. We have lost the House. We have lost the Senate. We might lose the presidency. Let's hope and pray not but we might. We live in a vitural sea of stupidity with liberals and radicals all around. Most of our institutions are liberal or even leftist. Pray for the Republic.
