Romney is like Reagan compared to Biden. But Romney is like Biden compared to a real conservative. Gosh. Say it aint so Mr. McCain.

You see? I read this, and the choice is clear.

There is no perfect VP choice this year, but when you look at plus and minus, Romney is the best choice.

He provides Mac with a boost and a strong wing man...

I went to but a single rally for Romney and found him an appealing speaker. I believe he can talk a conservative game. I have always been willing to forgive the aberations toward the left regarding Massachusetts. It IS Massachusetts, after all. My problem with him is, despite his popularity in NE Florida, generally, below the Mason Dixon Line he barely rates an asterisk.

I look at what a person did and rate it.
Willard Mitt Romney:

Olympics = neutral.
Staples = good.
Mass. governor = very negative (only a far leftest
could be elected).
Romney-care = bad, total fraud.
Bain Capital = bad (Corporate Raiders.

Immediately after the poll, President Betsy Young called on me to present a resolution urging McCain to select Romney as his running mate.

Oh yeah!

And everyone knows McCain and everyone else must do exactly what Nancy Peek McGowan says!

No matter who she is or if anyone ever heard of her.

The “Republican’s Women’s Club” in Florida should review Mitts record in Mass. The state is now in an additional 193 million in debt thanks to his “free” medical BS. He’s a socialist through and through.

I like Mitt. He's a likeable guy. But I also get the feeling sometimes that he's in over his depth -- like the boss's son or son-in-law who gets the supervisory position before he's quite ready for it or the officer who may be a wonderful guy but relies on his sergeant to get things done.

Certainly, that -- minus the warm feelings -- is how Massachusetts pols thought of him. Their idea was that he was just passing through, and they'd go on controlling things while he was around and after he left, which they did. But there are a limited number of candidates available and none is ideal.
