This post and the thousands like it shows where the whining is.
My vote is for McCain......sigh....
Keep whining, maybe McCain will get it into his thick skull that there is absolutely NO reason to have A pro-choice veep.....none at all, and one HUGE reason to have a pro-life veep, even if the veep has no influence on the abortion issue.....and that reason is.....:ABORTION IS MURDER!
Also the author’s premise is wrong, you can’t convince people that abortion is wrong as long as it is legal. Legislation IS the answer, and the ONLY answer.
Why should I vote for a traitor to my cause?
He’ll deliver half of what I want and I should be grateful?
John McCain has stabbed conservatives in the back for years and we are suppose to accept the lesser of two evils?
If John McCain wants to outrank his father and grandfather, perchance he should stop stabbing me in the back and realize he should be supporting me.
His choice for VP will tell me if he has grown and accepted reality.
Otherwise, hello President 0bama.
I certainly won’t be voting for John McCain, but I will be voting against Obama.
Big difference...
McCain’s mother pointed out (laughing about it) that conservatives have no choice but to hold their noses and vote for her son. I have the benefit of living in California and can withhold my vote for McCain without it causing any difference. I will vote for conservatives and only conservatives in the upcoming election.
Attacking conservatives but yet demanding that they vote for your RINO. Brilliant strategy there.
If McCain chooses a pro-abortion VP, I'm staying home.
And Sen. McCain will be 72 on Friday. He's already lived out his natural life expectancy. His vice presidential pick has a very realistic chance of being the next one to make a SCOTUS nomination.
Mine tells me hat I can't vote for a pro abortion candidate. I truly hope McCain dooesn't challenge my conscience.
the lesser of 2 evils is necessary. do not sit at home. you sit at home, you get Obama, imagine the spilling of National Security secrets all over the middle East with that tool in the POTUS chair. At least with McCain we are getting a soldier, and a true American, and we know he won’t allow partial birth abortion.T he abortion issue may not be resolved in our lifetime, but we must start by getting our foot in the door. How do you think Dummies get their way? They have had Decades of legislative chipping away. Now we must put the chips back in place... and it isn’t going to take 4 years to do it.... but it’s a start.
The real difference between liberals and conservatives is the way they view the balance between what the legislature controls and what the culture controls. That balance changes, predictably toward liberalism throughout the life of a republic, hence its predictable lifespan. It also explains why some formally rock-ribbed conservatives are shilling for McCain. We live in interesting times.
Returning the ball back to McLosers court.
Sorry, but killing babies by the million is not a peripheral issue for many of us.
McCain claims to be pro-life, and for the most part his record confirms it—with the exception of his dumb support of public funding for fetal stem cell research, when adult stem cell research has proven to be so much better.
But what do we make of a man who is pro-life on principle, yet is willing to take on an abortion lover as his VP, and possibly to groom him to be the next president?
Sorry, that says to me that McCain really doesn’t take this issue very seriously. He doesn’t mind killing babies if it’s politically convenient.
The situation is much like the 2006 election. Whom do you blame, the voters who stayed home, or the Republicans who kicked them in the teeth until they stayed home? It’s kind of a silly question. Don’t kick your base in the teeth, it’s not smart politics.
Frankly, McCain is a pretty marginal candidate as it is, what with McCain-Feingold, McCain-Kennedy, the Gang of 14, and so on, and many people will only vote for him because Obama is so much worse. But if it’s a choice between two pro-abortion candidates, and if a vote for McCain means there will no longer be a pro-life party to vote for in the future, then—sorry—a lot of people will stay home.
And that will be no one’s fault but McCain and his stupid advisers, who decided to kick the base in the teeth one more time.
Just don’t do it. It’s that simple.
Given judges traditional longevity on the Court, its important to understand that Obamas presidency could affect every aspect of American life criminal law, civil law, trade agreements, college admissions, abortions, managed care, anything you can think of for a good thirty or forty years.
Oh great, the new GOP strategy: insult and belittle your constituents and then expect them to vote for you and give you money.
But hey, what else can we expect from the boneheaded idiots in the country club, Rockefeller wing of the GOP?
Screw the GOP. Let it die like the Whigs.
If he picks Mutt Romney I will have to leave the top of the ticket blank. I wont vote for any ticket with that liberal puke on it!
I would invite my Conservative FRiends to join us in the voting booths in November- No one should stay home. Those of you who are guided by your principles are needed now as much as ever.
I ask you to join me and others in open rebellion against this Republican Party, and their scurrilous bastard of a candidate.
Vote for the only true Reagan Conservative on your ballot, Alan Keyes.
As others are so fond of saying, your write in vote does not count- Whereas a vote for Keyes is certainly a vote for, and an endorsement of, the Conservative cause.
