Somalian woman who came to Norway more than 10 years ago is harshly criticizing her fellow Somalian immigrants and Norwegian authorities. In a new book, she claims Somalians themselves don't want to integrate into Norwegian society, and that Norwegian welfare programs make it easy for them to remain isolated. A Somalian immigrant in Oslo is blasting her fellow Somalians for resisting integration. The Norwegian welfare system lets them get away with it, she claims.
She claims that resistance to integration is widespread especially among Somalian men, who fear losing their culture and religion. Many are afraid of Norwegians and view them as infidels who can't be trusted.
The book written by Amal Aden, a pseudonym for the Somalian author, is already creating an uproar. Amal Aden wouldn't use her own name because of fears for her own safety

This sounds similar to the assimilation problems we have here in the states, funded by the public coffers.
If the current crop of immigrants here had to stand on their own feet within a short time period, they'd assimilate faster, learn the language, and become productive (and likely more conservative) Americans.
And such a culture too.
Violence, abuse of women, listening to fire breathing mullahs instead of rational thought.
Plus, Somalia is a hell hole and they went to Norway to escape that sewer.
Like the Mexicans, they want to bring their sick and corrupt culture to the “Land of Plenty” and RUIN IT FOR EVERYONE.

No different than here. It was just last week we read about the special muslim perks for immigrated Somalians at their jobs.
Several ‘nations’ are forming within our nation. And it never works.
They come here to settle the land, not integrate with the locals. Muslim missionaries are coming to the west.
We are told we are xenophobic to question this but we are called imperialist and destroying the sovereign religious nature of the Middle East when we try to bring Christianity BACK to the Middle East which has been conquered by the Islamic state.

Let's see.....I'm going to move to a far away country that is NOT my culture, NOT my religion, NOT my language, NOT my ethnicity. And when I get there I'm going to fear losing my cultural identity.
Isn't it obvious that Islam is trying to colonize EVERYWHERE? Why else would sane individuals do this?
A few years ago in Seattle, there was a rash of carbon monoxide poisonings among the small Somali neighborhood, because these people insisted on burning a charcoal fire in the living room when it got cold. As I recall there were four or five who died.
The accusation was that bags of charcoal were at fault because they only had warnings in English and Spanish...
WHY the F*** are they there???!!!
Now that's the sort of thing that could make it difficult to assimilate in any country.

You think that Norwegians would integrate if they migrated to Somalia? Do you think that Americans would integrate if they lived in Saudi Arabia? All this migration between totally incompatible cultures will bite the West in the ass, irreversibly. I never did understand the keen desire of the West to commit suicide.

Cultural traditions can often be preserved within an assimilatd context, with some glaring exceptions which conflict with the laws of the land. In the event that is the case, perhaps the emmigrants would best settle somewhere more amenable to their traditions, rather than expect an entire nation to change to suit them.
In general, I take people on a case by case basis, and have met good folks, real jerks, and folks I do not know well enough to formulate an opinion of, in all sizes, shapes and colors.
It is the fruits of their labors, or sometimes, just their labors which speak volumes about their character, not superficialities.
I can tell that you haven’t lived overseas. In other countries you don’t have a choice but to integrate. You are assuming that other countries give you the choice like you get here. The opposite is true.
Besides, as bad as we are, I tend to find that most "ethnics" at least adapt to American culture in the 2nd and 3rd generations. Canadians actually go so far as to make "multiculturalism" a government policy.
