I can tell that you haven’t lived overseas. In other countries you don’t have a choice but to integrate. You are assuming that other countries give you the choice like you get here. The opposite is true.

It is very difficult to integrate in most European countries, especially outside of the larger cities. Euros are very ethnocentric despite what they tell the rest of the world.

Besides, as bad as we are, I tend to find that most "ethnics" at least adapt to American culture in the 2nd and 3rd generations. Canadians actually go so far as to make "multiculturalism" a government policy.

I don’t know about you but I worked and lived overseas for more than 20 years. No problem integrating in Germany, Holland or Italy. But I’ll be damned if you can integrate with the local population in Saudi Arabia or Yemen. They don’t want you there because you will always be an infidel. This is also the case with Muslims in the West. Yhey don’t want to integrate simply because they are surrounded by infidels.
