Chuck Hagel: "An Obama-Biden Ticket Is A Very Impressive And Strong Team"
Talkin Points Memo ^ | August 23, 2008 | Chuck Hagel

Posted on 08/23/2008 10:21:53 AM PDT by Scarchin

"Joe Biden is the right partner for Barack Obama. His many years of distinguished service to America, his seasoned judgment and his vast experience in foreign policy and national security will match up well with the unique challenges of the 21st Century. An Obama-Biden ticket is a very impressive and strong team. Biden's selection is good news for Obama and America."

Since the Sin-ate has a higher retention rate than the Soviet Politburo ever did, I'll stick with the FOUNDING FATHERS. More brilliant than you or I since they lived UNDER TYRANNY.

Sounds like an endorsement of the Dems by turncoat Chuck Hagel.

Luckily, Hagel will be gone from the Senate come January.

They’re both libs, but at least Lieberman isn’t embarrassingly stupid.

BTW, Nixon himself was a senator for two years, ‘51-’52.

Agreed. And, the fact is that Lieberman is about the best we could ever get out of Connecticut. The good people of Nebraska are probably embarassed by Hagel and I'm glad they will soon replace him with Mike Johanns!

Now if they can just target Ben Nelson in '12!!!

Hey Schmuck Hagel: Who cares what you think?

Hagel doesn't give a darn what he says at this time since he is retiring from the Senate at the end of the year and really has no place to go.

Joe Biden is the right partner for Barack Obama.

So it's a gay thing?

Well hell, somebody has to put up the old Seinfeld episode's politically correct phoniness line "Not that there's anything wrong with that".

Hagel is aiming for DefSec in an Obama-Biden admin.

"Joe Biden is the right partner for Barack Obama. His many years of distinguished service to America, his seasoned judgment and his vast experience in foreign policy and national security

Only in this way:

1. His many years of distinguished service to America--to balance Barry's almost complete lack of service to anything higher than his own political ambition.

2. his seasoned judgment--to balance Barry's appalling lack of judgment.

3. his vast experience in foreign policy and national security --to balance Barry's vast inexperience in these areas, having had nothing higher than having lived as a Muslim child in Indonesia and campaigned for his cousin's Muslim political party in Kenya.

The “foreign policy experience” Biden adds to the ticket actually raises a lot of questions in my mind.

Actually, in many ways Biden it the Lieberman of 2012.

Foreign policy? I believe he has been to Iraq almost a dozen times (8 plus? Which argues the experience for example), but my understanding is that in his 3 decades of government Biden has never negotiated for American lives, while even Bill Richardson has done that. Nor has Biden never balanced a budget. Yes, if I can find Joe Biden likeable and someone I can drink a beer with, but Biden has a long record of dirty work for political gain, and Biden finds it very difficult to admit a mistake.

Luis Navarro was Biden’s campaign manager, stated in 2007 on behalf of the Biden campaign (and attacking Richardson):

“. . . this argument that we withdraw all forces in toto — leaving aside whether you believe that genocide could potentially come out of that, what about the 6 to 7,000 diplomatic aid workers, missionaries; you have no way to protect them, so what you’re really saying then is that your going to withdraw all Americans and have no contact with Iraq, and I’m not sure that makes any more sense than not having diplomatic realtions with folks that we don’t agree with.”

So how does that square with Obama and his hard left following?

This is a complete sell-out in many ways by the Obama camp in the bet of trying to gain the White House. This selection just shows Obama is just another politician, and a Chicago one at that.

So the question begs, how much “HOPE and CHANGE” does Biden bring to the ticket?

“Scarborough was enthusiastically praising both Biden and the Donkey ticket in general early this morning. What a POS he’s turned into.”

Heh, he’s a U. of Alabama grad. I expected no less.

Well, not much in the way of "HOPE" and "CHANGE".

But Biden brings a great deal with respect to avoiding plagiarism charges and Hair Club for Men commercial rights.

Isn’t it about time for Chuck Hagel to be expelled from the Republican Party?

I think the parties should be able to trade their pols the way sports teams trade players. The Pubbies could give the Dems Hagel for a congressman and a lieutenant governor to be named later.

Endorse Obama already RINO Hagel. That way you can nail down that CNN or MSDNC contract you have been auditioning for your entire career.

Obama/ Biden is MSDNC’s dream team. Chris Matthews must be feeling a thrill in both of his legs now.
