I've been to Cleburne several times this year (girlfriend's home town), and I know tons of Aggies. Those folks don't seem like they'd ever send somebody to Washington who's buddy buddy with Pelosi.
That's like a Republican representing Harlem or Suffolk County, MA.

But this is rich...the dems will not know the difference between Chet and John. Obama is off the John but he's still full of Chet.

The Dems will get to do that sort of thing again, and theyll also get to explain why Barry has chosen a bitter clingerEdwards has a 100% NRA rating. Not to mention he can wear a cowboy hat and stick a finger in Bush's eye.

Useless banter. Hillary will be the nominee. I thought the formal selection of the Presidential candidate took place at the DNC convention AFTER the delegates had a chance to cast their votes.

TEXANS will vote conservative. I think it will be purple in Houston, and in the gulf area, but it will not vote a DIM in office... But I live in very conservative West Texas and I have seen an unreal amount of Obama bumper stickers.Travis County will vote Dem. So will the border counties along the Rio Grande and maybe Dallas County. But that's it. I think there's too much oil interest in Houston for them to go even "purple" as you put it.

If it is Chet Edwards, the pick does not elevate Obama. It devalues Edwards. It doesn’t matter because Hillary is going to roll Obama at the convention.

OMG how funny. I live in his district. Hes to the right of Obama and has a strong record supporting the military (Fort Hood is in his district. On reflection maybe not such a bad pick gives Obama a chance of putting delegate rich Texas in his column and pulling some military votes. VP selections are not that important and there is no way it will flip Texas.
