The presidential race in New Hampshire is now a toss-up. The latest Rasmussen Reports telephone survey in the state finds that Barack Obama's once-double-digit lead over John McCain is down to a statistically insignificant one-point lead, 43% to 42%.
When leaners are factored in, Obama is ahead 47% to 46%. Full demographic crosstabs are available for Premium Members. Time is running out to save on Premium Memberships. Sign up now and save. Learn More.
The Democrats support has steadily decreased in the Granite State since he clinched the nomination in early June. Obama fell from an 11-percentage point lead in mid-June to a six-point lead in July. The latest numbers mark the closest the race has been so far this year.
The latest numbers show support growing for McCain from those in his party. He now earns the vote from 87% of GOP voters, up from 78% a month ago. Though Obama still has a 42% to 34% lead among unaffiliated voters, support for the Democrat is down from 50% last month. He also has a 46% to 38% lead among women. Among men in New Hampshire, McCain has a 46% to 40% edge.
While Obama has a solid lead among younger voters, the race is close among voters between the ages of 30 and 64. McCain has a dominant lead among voters age 65 and older.
only 4 EVs, but Obama can ill afford to lose ANY state that Kerry won.
McCain has more than a good chance of taking New Hampshire.
I am so reluctant to get taken in by polls this early, but boy there do seem to be a lot of them showing a big swing our way.
"Mr. Chairman: The great state of NY, the Empire State, casts all of it's votes for it's favorite 'sister', HILLARY RODHAM CLINTON!!!!!" (Mass hysteria hits the floor)

Always factor in the fact that Obama has historically received 4% LESS votes than he polls.
Whether that is due to “closet racism” or not is unclear, but apparently is a pretty constant result.

Maybe the MSM’s editors and producers are trying to do a reverse psychology ploy on the country. Convince their drones that they’re losing and they’ll ante up more money for advertising...
Possibly the Bradley Effect is large factor in New Hampshire.
Note to breathing RATS and RINOS:
We shall fight on the beaches. We shall fight on the landing grounds. We shall fight in the fields, and in the streets, we shall fight in the hills. We shall never surrender!

Well, well. I kept saying if McCain had a chance for a flip, it was NH.
McCain bump.
My guess is this means McCain is actually significantly ahead in NH.
This is really good news. Usually Democrats are doing MUCH better around this time. We just can’t get over confident nor let our bitter brothers and sisters dissuade us. Obama is going to have his convention bounce but people he isn’t going to have a tenth of a bounce McCain is going to get out of his convention.
I am just not up to speed on that tinfoil stuff.
